QUOTE(bmipp @ Oct 4 2008, 01:17 AM) very tempting on the DV600....if at the point i'm buying, the DV600 drops again..(pray to be RM400..heavenly) that will be my baby!!! hehe i think the dv600 won't drop any further, you better get dv610 since they r much cheaper although i am not sure wether the specs of both players are the same or not..wonder why the newer model r cheaper if the specs are the same.. |

QUOTE(Matrix @ Dec 15 2008, 12:23 PM) Frankly...i can't see any difference...maybe i need specs...LOL. agree..same with me here I've an HDMI DVD player -> HDTV LCD. Between 720p and 1080i...really no difference....between 480p and 720p/1080i...well, hard to tell...maybe a little bit...but nothing too exciting i suppose. |

QUOTE(mikapoh @ Jan 10 2009, 02:59 PM) One question for all sifus, no diff, i tried mine with both hdmi & coaxial...u can set from ur avr which audio signal u want, either coaxial or hdmi or optical or analogIf my HDMI DVD player routed to AVR Surround using both HDMI & Optical cable, what do you think the avr would pick the audio signal, from HDMI or Optical?? Is there any difference in AQ between Optical & HDMI cable since both of them are carrying digital signal? Forget the loseless audio aspect. Thanks. |

QUOTE(shahdelee @ Jan 11 2009, 06:24 PM) a dedicated player to play compress avi files shd be better cos they support multiple formats, codecs...for DV410 it can only read DIVX format....but in terms of AV quality i guess they r all the same.. |

QUOTE(overfloe @ Jan 15 2009, 08:47 AM) i just tried to play 720p divx (converted from .mkv) on the DV-410.. guess what, the player does not recognize the file at all.. so I googled and found out that the player only supports divx with resolution of 576 (PAL) or 480 (NTSC). i haven't tried WMV so don't know whether it can support or not.. if u wanna play downloaded files like divs, realplayer u shd buy a dedicated multimedia player instead..but even the .avi file has lower res than 480, the picture is good and a lot better than astro LOL.. but i expected more on dvd playbacks.. not satisfactory.. would love to try tosh's xde-500 and compare with dv-410 if got the chance. i hope this is the last dvd player i will ever buy (later upgrade to BD player). |
