Just got a philips 5996 today, nice. I was at Amcorp yesterday, so tempted to get the bd players as it was so well priced.

i have a philips 5996 and a pioneer BDP-51FD. For dvd upscaling playback, the Pioneer is better..but not alot. I find the philips 5996 really good for a RM360 player. And as a bonus it plays SACD too
