Well, on a PV80 in Cinema mode, setting the DV410 to Component, Gamma -1, Brightness +2 helps somewhat with the black crush.

Philips quality sucks. BOTH my 5996 and DVDR3600 just went back for warranty claim. My barely used 5996 HDMI died, and my DVDR3600 can't read or format DVDRs/DVDRWs. Both units are less than 6 months old...
My Pioneer DV410 which I throw every crap DVD I have at it daily? Chugging along perfectly. |
