well.. there are alot ppl have done calculator in psp
but did you know there are also calculator to measure landslide??
you should make that.. related to bukit antarabangsa tragedy... this would help ppl out.
the calculator works like this

(type of soil) x (rain measurement) = probability of landslide

well... thats mayb too hard for your level lol... actually the formula may looks kinda hard. but actually if you study to high level its kinda ez..
but you can do other stuff, like to calculate voltage
V = I x R
to calculate mass, density and stuff
which is ez. so try to search for others simple formula to put in the calculator.
so it can help student in studies
just an idea.
so take out those physics book and search for simple formula.

SOURCE = ACID NEWS

A French modder by the name of Arioch_76 from over at psp-gen.com has recently decided to stat showing AcidMods his amazing work. He was registered sometime in February, but for some reason, has not been active until recently. Perhaps this may be due to the fact that he isn’t very fluent in English, but he has shown that he can communicate fine, and as long as we can understand him, it’s all good. He has shown AcidMods close to half a dozen PSPs, and all have recieved great, positive feedback. His latest PSP was modded for Yuripa, and is truly a work of art.

Mods on Arioch_76 PSP include:

* A new, innovative USB charge
* 1W speaker in the UMD door - Activated by a switch
* Custom jewel in the UMD door
* 2 UV LEDs between acrylic and speaker - Activated by a switch
* 8 blue leds through holes in the metal ring - Activated by a three way switch between sound reactive, always on, and off
* 8 LEDs around the UMD ring - Activated by a switch
* 4 RGB LEDs in the corners of the UMD door - Activated by switches for each individual color
* Blue LEDs in the triggers and holes of the speakers - Activated by a three way switch between sound reactive, always on, and off
* Red push activated LEDs in the triggers - Activated by wifi switch
* Red LEDs under the D-pad, /\[]OX buttons, and the bottom corners of the screen
* Blue memory stick and power led swaps
* Red wifi and charge led swaps
* Custom dual nub with a 4 way joystick (TPA413G C&K component)
* Total of 9 switches added!
* Total of 40 leds!

This mod cost the owner 230€ (close to $320 = RM900+) not including the cost of the PSP, and Arioch spent about 25 hours over the course of 3 days to complete this PSP. The owner was VERY happy with the finished product, and honestly, I would be too! Just look at that list of mods!

original from folklore36
Im sure others have though of this but it was my idea pitched to js.2ghetto it is actually super efective and 100x better than the LM386 way as with no sound the LEDS are off and they are more reactive. Also it gets rid of the power hungry amp and replaces it with a switching transistor and a few resistors no more than 3resistors so over all size and power consumption is down . Also just to clarify things the ground of the LED will be conected to the transistor and its positive to any 3.5v spot and the transistor will be switching the ground off and on acording to the current throwing the "switch" in the transistorwitch will be the speaker output so in theory the reactiveness would not change and you could use as many LEDs as you can power. An even pore primitive version of this can be seen in my video of my white slim psp with the amped speakers notice how reactive my LEDS are in that video and off when there is no sound.

What yes it dose the 2n222 npn transistor we are useing has super high switching rate that can produce an effect equivelent to PWM witch is why blaizzrad used it to do ambeint light with RGB leds because its switching rate is so high it can create an effect similar to PWM with variable intensity and brightness

so im doing some new setup for the leds laugh.gif

source AM news

A member by the name of MaTiAz over at lan.st has found a new exploit in the three year old game, GripShift. Due to my lack of software knowledge I have no clue what the technical details mean, but here they are, quoted directly from MaTiAz himself:

GripShift has a buffer overflow vulnerability when loading savegames. The savegame contains the profile name which can be easily used to overwrite $ra.
The savegame file is pretty big (25kB) so you have lots of space to put your code there. I wrote a simple blob of code to paint the framebuffer completely white (to just indicate that arbitrary code is running ).
The return address is located at offset 0xA9 in the file. In this poc it points to 0×08E4CD50 (which is only a few bytes after the return address), and the code starts at 0xCC in the file.It was tested on 4.01M33-2 with US version of GripShift (ULUS10040), and psplink.prx, usbhostfs.prx and deemerh.prx loaded (also without psplink and usbhostfs). The decrypted savegame (sorry, couldn’t [be bothered to] get Shine’s savegame tool working so it’s in plaintext form) is in the SDDATA.BIN form which Hellcat’s Savegame-Deemer produces (thanks to him, if the program didn’t exist I wouldn’t have bothered with this. ). Just copy the ULUS10040SAVE00 directory to /PSP/SAVEPLAIN/ and run the game. EDIT: yeah, don’t forget to have Savegame-Deemer working, duh.

A link to the files to try this yourself is here:

http://koti.kapsi.fi/~matiaz/psp/gripshift_poc.zip

And here is the encrypted save file:

http://koti.kapsi.fi/~matiaz/psp/gripshift_poc_built_v2.zip

(careful… it’s flashy and could cause seizures.)

As for proof? Here:

You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this YouTube video

Does this mean we’re going to have custom firmware soon on the PSP-3000? Let us hope so. This exploit definitely brings us one step closer to CFW, and who knows? Maybe within a month we’ll have reached our goal!

UPDATE

MaTiAz has now also developed a “hello world” code to run instead of just a blank white screen. Unfortunately, this still only means we can run code at usermode, and not kernelmode, but atleast this brings us another step closer to CFW. Here’s another video:

You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this YouTube video

Thanks, Slim Hacker, for the tip.
