You are too harsh la bro. smile.gif

Update:
Now running 3000MHz happily. Room too hot @ 3.6GHz.
Therefore there is no need for me to think to go higher already.

I guess already max for my rig. sweat.gifsweat.gif

1) downloaded the DFI-ABS. ok to install? what it is for?
2) Looking at my rig, what should i start first for trying to OC (noob here)  smile.gif

DFI - ABS = DFI Aku Brek Sendiri

kidding, its auto boost system, its basically pretuned/preset overclocking system with a lot of fail safe features, the downside is, its not the best.

First thing to do is, read and read smile.gif

It would help if you listed the parts you have now, processor, psu, cooling, rams

@gac
You might want to try OC your proc only while maintaining the same RAM default speed using divider. You might want to set yourself a target on how high you wish to OC your proc.

Q6600 G0(If its G0), should have no problem hitting 3.2Ghz, infact pretty much easy I would say. Then calculate what FSB you will need in conjunction with multiplier used to reach 3.2Ghz.

6x multi 533FSB
7x multi 457FSB
8x multi 400FSB
9x multi 355FSB

Best to play with is 8x multi, you will just need 400FSB which is easily archievable and using 1:1 divider, your RAM can run fine with 800Mhz CL5 with just 1.8v.

Also you will need some time for trial and testing how much vCore you will need to run stable at that speed. Normally Q66 @ 3.2Ghz is around 1.3v +/-. Don't forget to adjust GTL Ref value/vMCH as well.

Have fun.

what is the value of ur stock vcore btw?

u have a few solution imho... check whether ur ram have problem or not by using memtest windows....

or u can try flash ur bios to a newer ones n see how it goes.... pls flash bios with care btw, make sure u load ur optimised default bios before flahsing.... there are guides on dfi official webby
