I got my big ass SB900 for RM1400 from YL. They threw me some freebie too; an 8GB card. Theyre all so nice over there although they like to stare at you .. which i find very spooky. Haha.

Saya pakai Green mode je, lepas tu meter di tempat paling cerah supaya tak ada blown highlights. Lepas tu recover saja lah bahagian yang shadow @ fotoshop. Easy worrr! |

QUOTE(xandman @ Feb 16 2009, 10:28 AM) seriously, kalau saya hala point meter tu kat tempat paling cerah just to get a reading so as i wont get the dam blown highlights and use the owhsocool exposure lock, you'd think the poplight would pop its ugly head out ? owh wait .. i use D90 .. d40/60 ada exp lock kan ??? "Hope to learn more from patrons here"
Well maybe he meant it in general like .. Hope to see you again, Hope i can learn something (from hanging out in this thread), Hope the economy gets better.... ya know, more like introducing himself to the community. Maybe he will ask specific questions later when he plays around with the camera a lot more And Mixologist, the manual is your bestfren |

QUOTE(darthbaboon @ Mar 4 2009, 08:25 AM) What do they usually teach in those classes? Basic stuff like Shutter Speed, Aperture, ISO? Or do they teach techniques and intermediate stuff? I remember clearly one of my frens went to a D60 class and left it after just an hour and she complained that the class was about "how to use the damm D60 and how to make Noddy the cartoon, not how to use a DSLR!!".I dont know if her comment/complaint was fair or just, since she didnt finish the class. But the rest of us later crash-coursed her on what she actually needed to know; ISO/shutter/aperture and their relations. |

I would think that if its a workshop of this sort (D40/60/90, Nikon organized), it would not be talking a lot on the extent past the camera itself such as framing, creative direction or flash/lighting unless it really is about Nikon product line which also includes lighting equipments hence the lighting section of the class, if theres any.
Model direction or creative consultancy is a little too far ahead for this sort of "beginner-like" workshop i would think |
