Wah, hamster smoothie war. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion with anything, but the RC is genetically prone to diabetes and feeding any fruits or veggie high in sugar should be avoided. This includes carrots, apples, corn, mango, watermelon, etc.
Our stock of winter whites are also not 100% considered pure and many petshops/mills etc tend to mix RC and WWs together, so some wws may have campbell blood, which makes them more susceptible to diseases RCs are prone to, likewise vice versa. Puddings wws are a suspected product of mixed genes so they may be more susceptible to certain diseases or genetically prone to either species of RC or WW. I did have a pair of puddings and they were OBESE even though I didn't really feed them much sweet stuff other than their staple.
Hamsters from Malaysia aren't the same as from Singapore. Here the quality of the hamsters are not as good as from Singapore. We don't even see solid blacks or silver greys for syrians. Mostly cinnamons, some black eyed creams, goldens, red eyed creams, sables. Our Malaysian stock is profusely inbred and kept in poor conditions, so perhaps comparing keeping hamsters in Singapore to keeping in Malaysia may not be the best. Like for example the dosage/amount of feeding fruits/veggies etc.
A reputable breeder who is also the chief judge for hamster shows in California which specializes in RCs did state that we should avoid feeding any fruits or veggie with is high in sugar to RCs. We're not saying it will succumb to diabetes, but this is stated to diminish the likelihood of the hamster getting diabetes.
Hamsters from US are different. They are heavy bodied, larger, basically bigger in terms of bone structure and body size. There they preserve their breeding lines and genetics well, here our stock is, as said before, inbred until they are almost half the size of US stock. So stating that it's ok for them to be bigger(horizontally), because hamsters in US are naturally bigger?
As a last note, I strongly advise caution with the use of 'Balanced' because nothing is really 100% balanced in terms nutrition. I'm curious to know, was a vet or nutritionist consulted during the creation of the product or was it all based on experience?

Balanced means it's balanced. There no half balanced, quarter balanced or whatever type of balanced. It's either balanced, or not. So if you want to claim it's nutritionally BALANCED it's fine by me but I'm only asking why use the word BALANCED so freely when companies that actually do research on nutrition and hire all these ppl with test tubes and equipment so they can claim it's BALANCED. Since you say it's Balanced Fresh, not 100% balanced fresh, whatever that means, then sure, it's what you claim it is. Your welcome, I like to make ppl laugh even though I never said I expected any vet or nutritionist to judge or test your product. No harm in asking. Wait a minute, what is your definition of balanced? Not those nutritional chart things with all the percentage of protein and blablabla right? Anyways, about the Slurp, it's stated as a supplement and it's not even advised to feed everyday as it's a supplement. It's got approval from many different people in different countries. It's been used widely by many ppl and like your product which hasn't been in the market for long, there has been no negative feedback. Sorry off topic, since it's the hamster thread. I'm not talking bout the smoothie either. I'm talking bout the ingredients in the smoothie may not be best for a hamster that may have problems, I never said it's bad quality. Do recall I alway used 'may', not 'will'. Prevention better than cure not your motto then it's OKAY, like I said before, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Ok, then we'll do the testing. Since everyone is so obsessed with proof, (that's how it's spelled btw), we will make some. We won't ask for compensation or anything in return. How does that sound? Then everyone just shuush and no more argument bout this. It's a hamster thread, not a flame thread.

We don't need to convince since it's strictly based on the hams themselves, I'm also curious to see. Don't worry la, we're not gonna do anything stupid. Got better things to do like DotA and playing with my dogs rather than sabotaging.
We'll see bout the hams. Get RCs that are gila, gila and bite so hard until ppl don't dare to touch and have no hope for a home. lol

Hamsters are generally very clean animals. If you don't change the bedding often then the cage will start to stink as their waste builds up. Bedding also plays a role. Breeder Celect, HealthyPet, Back2Nature are good at odour control.
If she's using shavings should clean every week, unless she does spot cleaning which is removing the dirty bedding. Toilet training your ham is not a bad idea too. Better to keep outside your room, healthier for you.

WoodyPet is a pelleted wood type bedding. Very good absorbency, but a bit dusty after to break down when touches water. The wood smell is strong though, gives me a headache.
Nope, I play LAN in cyber. Sry off topic.

Nutritional yeast give one pinch and sprinkle into the staple food once a week. Cod liver oil the same, break the capsule and squeeze into the staple food.
Nutritional yeast once a week is good enough and will keep your ham in good health. Cod liver oil some hams don't like the fish smell and may not like the oily feeling. Cod liver oil I use less than half a capsule for one bowlful of staple food, so it's milder.

I think I got, last time my silent spinner the part connecting to the stand broke. Both of my wheels broke the same way! So expensive and can break in less than 2 months. Yours is silent spinner or silent wheel? Mine's the superpet silent spinner.

That one no need to tighten. It broke in an awkward manner.
