If you want reliable, go for KDK or Panasonic. Want fancy and decorate, than deka or alpha.

yeap KDK quite reputable..was thinking of going for those fans with lighting pre attached lol save space n pretty minimalist =)
anyone know the price range and where i can view a haiku fan?

Chose Panasonic LED F-M15G2 over KDK because of Yuragi Function. Cost me RM710 and have to order because most store don't keep stock.  Haiku you can view at Strand Kota Damansara. Link is http://www.asiabuilders.com.my/asiabuilder...y_50038196.aspx

Haiku i believe is selling around RM3k, means i have to work harder if i really want to have it. The fan in pix is Panasonic with LED (G2 model). The rhythm of the spin is special, can feel the wind is more gentle compared to normal fan.

hehe i go try out at my aunt's hse again later...wow 3k for a fan?appliances r getting pricey nowadays..saw some nsb fans at expo,wind quite strong,but 1k for a small wall fan

I'm confused..somewhere in d first few pages of this thread mentioned that d less fan blades means it moves faster thus more airflow;
but d last few pages here mentions that more blades means more air is pushed downwards;
cooling effect is important as I can save on air-conditioning lol,so shud I be searching for 3 bladed fan or 5 blades?
also,KDK fans are manufactured by Panasonic?

If can afford buy 5 blade more stable & wind also high. KDK currently under Panasonic. Each others have their own model. Currently i targeting K15Z9 & K14Z9 both model for low ceiling.

Stand 1 side if not very hard to choose.

yealor quite a few brands to choose..coz some of my rooms small,n its plaster ceiling,so cannot put kdk or panasoonic..they sell more on 56" fans..

QUOTE(dayalan86 @ Aug 30 2013, 11:58 AM)
My brother is using Rubine ceiling fan for the past 2 years in his condo, no issues so far. Only had problem in the beginning due to the wireman wrongly wired up the fan, so the motor or PCB burnt (cannot remember) but they claimed warranty.

Our Panasonic 5 blade remote ceiling fan (about 5 years old) is having buzzing sound. We have another National (former name of Panasonic) which is about 14 years (the 1st remote ceiling fan available in Malaysia at that time) and still working fine with no sound whatsoever. The PCB got fried once due to lightning about 5 years back and we got someone to repair it for less than RM50 (Panasonic claimed no spare parts available due to age). I feel that newer Panasonic or KDK fans, no longer have the quality of years before and their design is also out dated.
*
my relative hse install d panasonic 5 blade fan with 7 speeds n yuragi,he said after less than a month oso got sound liao..haih quality dropped from ady but i think relatively panasonic/kdk still on top kua

have a tall 2nd floor ceiling (>6m), how do I install a ceiling fan there properly without significant moving? can it be pulled down to 3m range so that maintenance/cleaning is easier?
*
significant moving means?to pull down i think u need to install those motors that go up n go down-forgot wad its called tho..coost a few Ks if im not wrong
