Yes all my bedrooms using 40". The smallest room use 36". I feel like 36" is already sufficient depending how big/small is your room

Hi, saw your recent post about 40" fanis sufficient for most rooms. I am looking for ceiling fans for my new unit and KDK/Panasonic only has 56" and above...

Alpha Vannus series seems to fit my budget. I have 2 rooms at about 100-110 sqft (10ft x 10ft), is 40" fan sufficient or do I need to go 46"?

Alpha recommends to leave a gap of at least 1m from the blade tips to the nearest wall

user posted image

according to this you should be ok with 40", even 36" is fine

Thanks, so websites recommend at least 50cm so I wasn't sure which to trust.

My master bedroom has a 14 feet length x 10 feet width, and at the far end of the longer side I plan to put my desk, not sure a 40" fan will be able to "reach" the end...

Assuming the fan is in the center of the room, the longer side will have about 1.6m of clearance, while the shorter end will have exactly 1m of clearance (not yet factor in cabinet). Should I opt for 46" in this case or 40" is still sufficient with 1.6m clearance to cool my desk area?

Is your cabinet full height? In that case try to position your fan correctly so it could have at least 1m clearence on both sides. Always try to make sure all sides have equal or at least the minimimum distance to your fan blade
*
Yeah full height cabinet on one end of the room. See the pic below, assuming 46" fan and mounted center of the room, horizontally the clearance is below 1m (around 0.5m to the cabinet but I guess it's ok) but the vertical clearance is a lot - will be around 1.5m.

Not sure if going up to 52" will increase the coverage? or 40"/46" is enough

Any reviews of the Alpha Cosa CX 10, 56 inch for RM130/piece?

If there are any 56 inch maple coloured fan below RM200, would love to see any recommendations too smile.gif

Let's say up budget to RM300, is the Rezo Zeta 56 inch wood colour a good choice?

Is there anything comparable to the Alkova Racer 56 or 60 inch in terms of airflow? 56" has around 13k CFM while the 60" around 16k CFM

They go for around RM400-500 per piece and I need a couple for my home sweat.gif

Also, for the Alkova series, warranty is 2 years general and 10 years for motor smile.gif

I went with all Alpha Luna series for my new home after reading this thread (40" for roooms, 56" for living). Haven't installed since it's just about to start renovation.

But avoid Alpha Cosa at all cost, you can search Cosa in this thread, lots of problems.

Alpha Luna 56" CFM is 12378, close enough to what you're looking for. Price wise, I ordered during shopee / lazada sales period (every 25th of the month for pay day sale and double digit dates e.g. 3/3).

With no surprise, alpha failed. 1 motor failure, started to be slower even after cleaning. Another alpha bearing failed, was making squeaking noise.

Just curious, which alpha model? The Cosa model is notorious for the bad quality but others like Luna seems to have better reviews.

Hi all, I finally installed all the Alpha Luna fans I bought few months ago into my new unit. I listened to the advice by someone here and only got 40" fan for my master bedroom which is rectangular in shape, and I have a PC desk on the left end and bed on the right like this pic: https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/yvdcwoepkby.png

Directly below the fan I can feel the wind, indeed very big wind even at level 3 out of 6 speed. But when I stand at the chair or at the bed there, I can't really feel much wind.

Is this normal for modern fans or I need bigger fan size? Based on my unit it seems like 50" might be the biggest I should fit to leave some clearance from wall/cabinet. But does it make any difference between 40" and 50"? because from the pic, you can see even if I put 50", it's still some distance to the head of the bed or desk.

I think other than fan size, ceiling height also play an important factor for the wind reach...

Ah that might be the case... my ceiling is not very high, it is only 9 feet after installing plaster ceiling... sad.gif

Need some advice.I bought alkova series fan from shopee and fixed it on the hall myself.Everything is fine except for the fan is slightly wobbling during spin. What might be the issue, isit alignment? The manual ask to install the motor to the mounting first and then followed by the blades which i find very difficult in this way. What is the correct way to install the ceiling fan without wobbling issue?

Another one,i want to buy a fan might be 3 blades for a small room which should be less than 56" to avoid shadows. This room is for guest with baby to sleep and the ceiling is not so high(9.5 ft).Im not installing AC for the moment,so i need a windy fan so that the baby wont feel hot.Need some recommendations on which fan is suitable for this purpose.

If you don't want to fix the wobble yourself, ask Alpha to send technician fix for you for free. Whatsapp their business account +60 12-379 5555.

I bought 5 fans and 3 of them are wobbling after installed by my renovation contractor. Today they are coming to fix the wobbling issue.

I want to learn and master the perfect fan installation because i might buy the fan from online in future. One of the fan installed by my contractor also wobbling.Isit really free for the technician to come and fix this? For the wiring i have no problem..From the manual it said to install the motor to the ceiling first then later fix the blades. This way is hard because you need 2 people to install, one to hold the blade and another to fix the screw.Im not sure will it still wobble if fix as per the manual.I have no assistant and need to fix it by me alone  biggrin.gif .

I see, yeah it's free to fix if within warranty. The whasapp agent will ask you to send receipt and pics.
Today the technician will be coming over.. I update you again.

lankorn The technican came yesterday, did alignment for all 5 fans and they are much more stable now. Basically he just put a small tape (weight) at the right blade location.

Didn't pay anything cuz it's within 1 year of warranty.
