DC fan definitely saves energy but the energy usage of ceiling fan isn't really an issue even if run 24/7 compared to say aircond. That's why the cheap regulator fans are AC and still 5 star energy, you need DC to run all the fancy features like Yuragi and 9 speed etc. any cons for DC fan beside more expensive? some claim DC fan lighter, is it true

The con for DC is that there's no point paying for all those extra features like Yuragi etc if you're not gonna use it, and most people don't.
