Seriously, i am using DEKA EV3 and BabyFan,
i noticed the remote control is not as good as panasonic one.
Sometimes press it and it is not working and slow response.

But less noisy than panasonic fans.

Sovietmah,

Yours is which Deka baby fan? I was thinking of baby G or Baby 6 for the kitchen. Was wandering, if you on the fan switch at the switch socket, what is the default speed?

Panasonic, I think default speed is medium. So without using the remote control, it is still alright using the default speed for Bayu 4 blade. (I test at my aunt house)

Me, still thinking what fan to purchase. Might go for a combination of panasonic, alpha and deka.
*
Default? i guess is number 2 out of 1 to 3 for deka.
Seems they din store the history, panasonic i think will store the history, but nvm let me go back and try again i feedback u tonight.

I am using Bayu 4 blades.
Supposely more blades means more quiet and the wind flow is more constant.
But, no doubt DEKA EV3 3 blades is quiet than the panasonic 4 blades.
But i hate using the remote control.

Heard Pana & KDK fan no longer long lasting & good quality like last time, any comment?

What's the common & good brand to recommend? smile.gif

Still depends on luck.
my 4 months deka EV3 spoil, deka technician come and fix it and change the controller and board, but now the speed 4 become like speed 3.
speed 3 become like speed 2. the deka remote control is a major failure, so difficult to press and make it work.

So i decided change to KDK K15Y2-GS 5 speed 5 blades 60 inches for the living room deka.
http://www.kdk.com.my/products-detail.asp?id=16 thumbup.gif

Luckily i only have 2 deka fans, 1 EV3, 1 baby fans for dining room.
The rest of rooms all panasonic 4 blades, upstair living room conventional KDK regulator.
Living room KDK K15Y2-GS

Just don't expect things last as long as before. 5 Years for most are consider good. My Panasonic remote fan installed during renovation (2011) still running fine. The Panasonic remote fans in my mom house still running since 2004.

The major problem with remote fans is actually the circuit board (PCB), it get fried easily if your house are prone to surge/lightning, and the most reliable fan will be conventional because it don't have PCB.

Agreed with u bro.

brother.
Please don't don't don't buy this model!

I bought black color EV3 5 back in 2013 OCT.
Then JAN the EV3 electronic board burned.
Change to a main board, the Fans speed become slower,
speed 4 become speed 3, speed 3 become speed 2.
Change controller, also the same issue.

Later on i survey, quite number of shop said, deka fans is good design, but not reliable.

So tulan already, then i change to KDK 5 blades 60 inches.

Appreciate ur feedback bro! I hope the alpha F420 above is much more reliable then... smile.gif Speaking of F420, any idea what's the difference of F420 vs F620? They look the same except for the bottom cover with different oval shape..is the remote for these model reliable?

No idea bout alpha.
regret choosing the EV3, in fact my wife keep saying she want KDK or panasonic.
And i noticed KDK fans seems like don't give a bracket for your remote control.
Panasonic has.

Dear sifus,

I need to buy 9 fans for the whole house. Which would be better; 3, 4 or 5 blades? I was thinking of getting Alpha fans but one shop told me they had many complaints from those who bought Alpha. So, this shop has switched to Elmark. What do you all think?
Thanks.

KDK better la seriously.
I was using DEKA EV3, 4 months burned, fixed then the speed no longer the same. fixed third time, still the same.
Change to KDK 5 blades 60 inches for living room = No single problem now.

Room then i use panasonic 4 blades 56 inches.

Houz Depot having promotion for this Deka fan. This is one of the better looking fan compared to KDK fan. So far no complaint of Deka fan after one year in use.

Never buy DEKA Fan. Give you a lot of trouble. I buy 3 unit. not even 6 month, my guest room set spoil. Technician come and justify that motor spoil. luckily within 3 year warranty but I question that this is a guest room and seldom used how come it will spoil suddenly. The technician speechless. After that, My living room unit giving a loud sound like going to drop from ceiling. The technician come and justify that something inside loosen. I cracking my head and asking whats wrong because nobody gonna open and loosen then thing inside. Once again, he speechless.... NOW, suddenly 3 out of 2 remote of the fan is not working! I change battery also not working. The fan is just about a year old and I had been repair for 2 times and remote is not working anymore~~~ So fade up to get the technician to come again! So inconvenient!!!
*
same case like mine.
My one EV3 at living room, 3 months spoiled, then change the controller, Speed 4 become Speed 3, Speed 3 become Speed 2, Change 2 times controller still the same, remote hardly working, change battery also same issue.
I donate the fans to charity later.
Change KDK 60 inches .. so far no problem.

and with all this crap going on, yesterday the sales assistant told me "nowadays very little would sell KDK because of the warranty period only 1 year, other brand giving 10 years warranty for the motor." after he finished saying that, i said 'ok thank you' and walked away biggrin.gif
*
I know one good salesman, he told me "never buy DEKA fans, 90% customer complaining about it, did you noticed the speed become slower and slower?", but most of the shop selling DEKA still. The salesman told me this before even i am asking him about KDK fans. I am sure he is not cheating because that shop showroom all DEKA fans.

No doubt if you wanna show off, DEKA is the better choice because it looks elegant, but not practical.
I bought 3 panasonic, 1 KDK, 2 DEKA, the first DEKA is down, the DEKA baby fans start giving weird sound but still working, the rest panasonic and KDK still function with heavy duty.

The DEKA remote control is short range, you have to point it very accurate to the sensor before you press the button on ur remote control. But panasonic and KDK remote control longer range and you don't need point at the fans' sensor so accurately.
