hi all, for a low ceiling, what would be the best fan, or the best height for the fan?
depending on the fan, i will likely still use the hook, but cut a hole in the ceiling for the fan..

QUOTE(mhhee @ Jul 27 2012, 03:34 PM) Don't underestimate the wind power of baby fan, I have the same thought as you but after installed. Wow! Better than my 3 blades 56" ceiling fan. Unless you wanted to install it at big area. Else, it does work. 8'8" is quite low for ceiling... You can check this KDK low ceiling fan. Thanks for the reply What baby fan did you install? These fans will be for 3 areas; living, dining, and master bedroom The 2nd room and office will utilize baby fans

QUOTE(halcyon27 @ Jul 30 2012, 12:57 PM) not to discourage but just to inform, a friend of mine have this in the kitchen. when turned on, it gives the buzzing sound of a 5-speed regulator fan... you know like that 'wng, wng, wng...' other than that bit, it has sleep mode!!! is this the kdk model shown above, or a different model?

thanks, all!
i'm 6 feet tall, so yes, reaching up will have my hands pretty much nearly cut off if i get in the way of the blades at 7.5 feet haha.
i'm partial to the deka ones that have the ability to reverse their directions, due to spreading the a/c joy around, at least in the bedroom
will look into these options now. thanks!
edit: has anyone got recent prices for Panasonic F-M14E8 4-blade yuragi? Top Ten is RM384

i would, too, but my ceiling height is not made for the r8. a shorter stalk will affect the efficiency of the fan, so might as well get one that's designed for low ceiling..

i know the site says 32cm, but i called them and they told me it was 44cm. this is just too weird. if this is true, i'll rather get this than the kdk due to cost. thanks!
