My brother is using Rubine ceiling fan for the past 2 years in his condo, no issues so far. Only had problem in the beginning due to the wireman wrongly wired up the fan, so the motor or PCB burnt (cannot remember) but they claimed warranty.

Our Panasonic 5 blade remote ceiling fan (about 5 years old) is having buzzing sound. We have another National (former name of Panasonic) which is about 14 years (the 1st remote ceiling fan available in Malaysia at that time) and still working fine with no sound whatsoever. The PCB got fried once due to lightning about 5 years back and we got someone to repair it for less than RM50 (Panasonic claimed no spare parts available due to age). I feel that newer Panasonic or KDK fans, no longer have the quality of years before and their design is also out dated.

Panasonic FM14E2 got reverse function or not?  From the website, saw that it has 'natural breeze' function but not sure what it is.

Any good strong fans with reverse function?  Thanks.

I am using Alpha Q-16, it has reverse function and strong wind delivery as well as 'natural breeze' function. Got it specifically because of design, wind delivery and of course cheaper than Panasonic / KDK remote fan. Got it for RM 260 at Puchong.

i have a deka 5-blades ceiling fan, which is not working at anymore. the problem started with the fan speed is the same although i change the speed with remote (from what i noticed, the speed looks like always at speed of "1"). and today, the fan is not spinning anymore. when i off and on back the fan switch, it just move a tick and stop immediately.

what i can DIY to fix this?

You can take out the PCB board and get it repaired at Deka service centre. they charge RM 11 or 12 only. If housecall to change PCB is about RM 50 to 80.

Deka PCB uses relay switches instead of capacitors unlike Panasonic fans.

the deka fan not easy to take out the PCB board right ? its need to take down the whole fan in order to got the PCB out ..

Panasonic more more easy ..just open to cover and unscrew it ..will see the PCB already ...

Not really, my Deka classic and Alpha fan have access to the PCB from the bottom of the fan. Whereas, my Panasonic baby fan requires the whole fan to be disassembled

What is the difference between regulator and remote control fan? Which one is a better choice?
*
1st difference is pretence of having the speed control at your finger tips instead of being wall mounted (regulator)

2nd is comfort features of some remote fan, like lights, reverse function, smart breeze ( yuragi or whatever).

Regulator fans, somehow look plain. Manufacturers tend to put more design emphasis on remote fan.

I owned 2 units of K12YC, enough cooling even not at full speed so no regrets, can use remote to control even you didn't link it to your apps.
It's just a bit tricky when I try to link it with apps, need follow steps carefully else need to repeat the steps again sweat.gif

Is this using Hook? or similar to the older baby fan without hook? My ceiling quite low and using the old baby fan; replaced capacitor twice and it keep slowing down after few years.

Thinking to just change out both

Your capacitor good stuff or random brand one?
*
I just bought from Jalan pasar and changed it. I know they have brands, but thought it doesn't make much difference for a fan? Usually which brand capacitor do you use?

Partially want to change because want a different colour fan 😅.

My ceiling is low, this was one of the shortest fans available at the time.

For that price better to just install air cond + wall fan
