If you choose to have fancy functions, then sure you are looking for trouble.
Up to today from 2005, I only changed once on my ceiling fan, out of 6. That fan actually no need to change, thanks to my maid on accidentally hit it with hard object during cleaning. All are the most basic type.

Not fancy functions la, just want the Pana/KDK remote fan...but all kind of those buzzing noise really bother me. I know how annoying the buzzing noise was, as my current remote EL-Mark ceiling fan buzzing noise was terrible.

Air cond, TV, gate's remote are using better type but not fan whistling.gif

But the buzzing problem is not generated from the remote controller board itself, but is from the motor itself. Remote controller are more or less same for all appliances, no better type or lousy type, if better only better in terms of receiving strength and response, it won't 'make noise' no matter how. Just coincidence that the fan with buzzing noise was with remote function only. ohmy.gif

Anyone here using/tested KDK Sensa 5 K15Z5-QEY before?

DC motor, 9 speed control, very low poer consumption, and i like the design too. Just it is expensive. I don mind to buy 2-3 pcs for my bedroom and living room if it is good.

I think i'm an old school people not looking at fancy design but rather functionality. I got 8 ceiling fans in my house, all KDK brand.
3x Sensa 5 K15Z5-QEY - RM600+
2x K14Y2 - RM400+
3x K14YZ - RM300+
Those are the price 7 years ago.

2x Sensa 5 K15Z5-QEY and 2x K14Y2 is considered use the most with weekday roughly 4 hours per day at mid speed, and 12 hours during weekend served me for 7 full years now (accumulated 12k+ hours per fan), without having a single issue, not even bearing/vibration noise, speed wise remained same as new without capacitor change.
The cheapest K14YZ sometimes is noisy due to cover rattle and those were seldom used anyway.

So you get what you pay, but at least i have no regret with KDK fan, those are 'real fan' doing the job that supposed to do, my relative/friend who use those fancy/decorative fan already change at least once in 7 years due to noise/motor malfunction so at the end the cost even higher.

Yup, same motor but different appearance.

The noise is actually from the center cover, i took it off then become silent.
