How bout DEKA fan? A local brand fan getting some name lately..
*
I have checked out Deka R8 at QQ Lighting Puchong....the wind is powerful and it's silent...for about RM250/260 i think..and it looks good as well..

Not sure if its reliable..i havent bought it yet......I m actually considering Deka r8 and Deka F5....as well as Deka baby G series...for rooms...

need some input from forumers here if anyone using Deka?

I'm using Q8 on all my room for past 4 months, so far so good after alignment done else will see the plates swin a lot. Strong wind but not those "Reverse Function".
"Reverse Function" only use when I on the aircon so that the cool air will not blow to my face direct...

Thanks for the review ..

Don't underestimate the wind power of baby fan, I have the same thought as you but after installed. Wow! Better than my 3 blades 56" ceiling fan.

Unless you wanted to install it at big area. Else, it does work.

8'8" is quite low for ceiling... You can check this KDK low ceiling fan.

Just my suggestion.

i would, too, but my ceiling height is not made for the r8. a shorter stalk will affect the efficiency of the fan, so might as well get one that's designed for low ceiling..

hmm..but R8 is for low ceiling..my ceiling height is 8.5 ft too...so far the wind is quite strong

hi there, do you ahve a pic for this?
i'm 183 cm tall, hands raised i'm almost 9 feet..

did you custom your stalk? also, where did you buy them from? thanks!
edit: i spoke to Deka themselves, the R8 is 44cm total height, vs the 30.5cm for Nami Jr
*
44cm ??? cannot be bro...its about 32cm only..about 1ft
I have it installed in my house at the living room...bought it from QQ Lighting in Puchong. same row at Top 10...RM250....the wind is strong...compared to F5...F5 is also 32cm..i have the rest of my house installed with F5...

The reason why i installed R8 in the Living hall is because of the Reverse function whereby i have my AC close to the Fan in the living hall

AS for ceilling fan, Say NO to Deka....
I bought 5 DEKA fans from soxxka suxma about 2 years back.
Thought the reverse function is good, but consider useless....
2 of the DEKA was down just after 1 year and calling the service centre no one pickup the call. Is it close down or wrong number printed at manual? Last call the shop, they said will charge for transportation charges and need to change the part (remote sensor on fan faulty) for fan which cost almost Rm150++... I rather to change the fan instead of repair....
Roughly about 1.5 years, another unit was down....
The price for this fan i bought last time is no cheap, if buy 1 unit is Rm299 and buy 5 unit and each rm269....
Totally regret now, with the price I rather buy the KDK or panasonic....
My KDK 4 blades still working in good condition but some minor humming sound from fan.....
So forumers, choose your ceilling fans carefully...

Really?!?!? Oh no..I have 5 units myself...so far...been running 2 months...fingers crossed!!
