i have low  ceiling for my kitchen, i am comparing between 2 fans eg. 4 blades yuragi (length 30.6cm) vs Panasonic
Baby Fan (length 250 mm) ..

i am interested in the Pana Baby Fan.... but can I install it on a plaster ceiling ? what is the meaning of ball joint
installation ?

For most baby fans, you don't need hook to install and it can be mounted on the plaster ceiling. However, you need to have a block of wood to stabilize/secure it on the other side (ie the above the plaster ceiling).

baby fan look cute but why it is so expensive?
more powerful than normal 3 blade fan?

I would think most people bought baby fan not because it is cute but rather than due to space constraint (either height or width). The cooling capacity of a typical baby fan (in CFM) is about 6000+. Most normal fans' CFM is from 7000-8800. As a comparison, stand fans' CFM ranges from only 1500-3000 max. So baby fan is still the best option of cooling after air cond and full size fans. I am using baby fan for my wet kitchen for the area away from the hob/hood but due to staggered ceiling height, I could not put a full size fan there. So for me, it has nothing to do with cuteness.

hi bhtan,

can share your baby fan together with your wet kitchen photos?

My renovation work is still currently in progress and all the appliances including fans will only be installed once everything else is done. I will post as soon as it is done in early July..

On a separate note, has anyone bought either the KDK k15Z9 or the Panasonic FM15E6. Both are higher range fans from the companies. I am leaning towards buying the KDK model.

was looking into this model also as it is suitable for low ceiling....but the pricing is killing, in kdk website it shows rm6xx......wow!!! close to an air-cond price!!!

Yes, the KDK K15Z9 is about RM600. It can vary speed based on temperature sensor. It also has LED light although it is more decorative type. It may be approaching cheap 1HP aircon price but fan still use less electricity.
