bought few alpha ceiling fans with regulator but would like to change the standard regulator controller to (Vivace 1 Gang 250VA Fan Controller Switch).. is that feasible?

recently installed few units of alpha fan... but having intermittent abrasion noise from the fans.. any bro has same problem? fan or installation issue??
