If 3D games not that bad lah, or 480i games also not that terrible. But 240p games is no no for direct connection. Some common 480i games for Saturn:

1. Fighting Vipers
2. Fighter's Megamix
3. Cotton Boomerang: during the dialogue scene, gaming scene still 240p

I've tested most my Saturn games and 90% ++ are running 240p, so direct connection is a no no.

If you set to RGB and connect with component then you won't get proper display or none at all, if you set to component and connect with RGB then the screen will become all green. RGB signal is different from component signal.

Can't find any local TV sets that accept RGB. But I'm using RGB through XRGB3 for LCD and RGB>Scart converter for CRT

If that's the case I don't really see the need for an external converter.. almost all PS2 games run on 480i anyway and many GC games can run on 480p (hold B button while starting a game). If the scaling from the TV isn't good enough then you can try the HD Box Pro, it accepts component inputs in any resolution and rescale it to most LCD native out there. It also helps eliminating input lag a bit using an external device. If you play lots of games that scanline is important then you have no choice but to get XRGB, preferably XRGB3. 3 component inputs, 2 S-Video, 2 composite, 1 21pin RGB and 1 VGA.. more than enough in most cases

Can but that's a big big price to pay unsure.gif

You can try DVDO's iScan series.. but that's like RM10k products..

HD Box Pro also cannot eliminate this problem either, I have tried it.. I'm pretty sure XRGB3 can eliminate this problem but the scaling isn't quite up to par if compare to those of iScan. I myself looking for a solution for 480i sources too now..
