Just receive a call from AMAX CS about the complaint for slow download connection speed at my area (Bandar Damai Perdana, Cheras), but the answer make people very angry vmad.gif  vmad.gif , they say this is the speed for wireless broadband. I only get 700k~850kbs for 1.5mb package.

*
That's BS of an answer. MCMC, even for the sloth that it is, says we must get at least 70% of our subscribed speed, regardless of technology.

Alo AMAX - baru kena denda RM1.7mil, mau kena lagi ka?

Anyone wants to take over my Amax 1.5mbps?
I will sell it below market price.

Sell? How do you sell? Don't you mean "take over"? I'm interested...

True. If I am able to refresh the page like 5 times within 10 seconds, I'll get at least three different IP addresses

*tempting fate* Strangely enough, my AMAX performs well. I keep getting the full 1.5Mbps bandwidth even when connecting overseas.

My only annoyance with it is the fact that my IM clients (Google Talk, YM) keeps logging on and off, probably due to the rapidly changing IP....is this going to mended at all?

Wimax and 3G/HSPA modems are not intercompatible. You cannot use that modem for AMAX or any other wimax provider for that matter.

I think all areas. Which is why they are letting people terminate even within contract period. I was told it's going to be a major 'network reengineering' exercise.

Current subscribers can terminate their account even they're still in the contract period? If that is true, then I'll go and terminate it...
*
It's true. I've terminated mine. You just have to settle for your bill up to the point of termination. No penalty.

Has anybody terminated their Amax subscription b4 the contract end?

I did, a week before their network re-engineering exercise. No penalty. Not sure bout now though, given that their network re-engineering has completed.

Did you pay for March's bill? Partial or full payment?

Mind you, not all has been informed. I for one wasn't informed until my service was out. And the reply I've gotten so far varies from their staffs. Some claimed until end of May. Some claimed until early of July.
*
Me neither. I would have been none the wiser had it not been for this forum.

IINM P1 and AMAX are using different ratifications (?) of the WiMAX standard. Unsure if device for one network is compatible with the other.
