No 3 should look nice and reflections are nice but i think u failed to control what u wanted the model to show. Her eye seems to be the weakness and i not sure what u wanted to show on pic no 3.
My pick is no 5, but i have to say although wb and exposure are alright, i think u need to work with ur interaction with ur model to make ur pics looks better. Just my 2nd cents |

QUOTE(travis_ckf @ Aug 19 2008, 11:06 AM) No 3 should look nice and reflections are nice but i think u failed to control what u wanted the model to show. Her eye seems to be the weakness and i not sure what u wanted to show on pic no 3. Thank you for your comments. Just the kind of solid advice I'm looking for. I admit there wasn't much interaction between me and the model and perhaps even a lack of purpose on my side as I did not go for the shoot with a theme in mind or a rough idea of what I want to be portrayed in my shots. Will try to be better prepared for my next model shoot. Once again, thank you! My pick is no 5, but i have to say although wb and exposure are alright, i think u need to work with ur interaction with ur model to make ur pics looks better. Just my 2nd cents QUOTE(aragorn.yoong @ Aug 19 2008, 09:39 PM) Where? Didn't want to use healing brush on the face too much as the face might look too smooth and nice to be true.Added on August 20, 2008, 2:07 amVolume 2: Pei Yu 1. ![]() 2. ![]() Don't have as many photos of Pei Yu because it started to rain heavily halfway during the shoot. So we didn't really take many photos at that moment. Comments and criticism welcomed. Coming soon, Volume 3: Amanda. For higher resolution photos, feel free to check out my Flickr. Thank you! QUOTE(168257061 @ Aug 21 2008, 12:27 AM) lightning can be improve @ amanda series ... It was raining heavily and the sky was really gloomy during that time. Hence, the bad quality of lighting. Maybe I should have did a bit more of Photoshopping on it.hmm , I think its nicer if the photo has some bigger background. or you chopped ? And no, I didn't chop (crop) anything. Was using my Canon 100mm Macro lens. Quite hard to shoot from a very long distance especially since there were photographers in my group using shorter lenses. Besides, I was lazy also la |

QUOTE(shinchan^^ @ Aug 21 2008, 09:02 AM) sifu says all. Dont be lazy in pp as well. U never know pp make wonders, on ur case u should use pp to highlight ur subject in series 3.on ur 2nd series i think its much acceptable n better looking. On series 3, pic no 1 can be done using a normal pns cam, means its too normal. |

U never know pp make wonders, on ur case u should use pp to highlight ur subject in series 3. I find it a bit hard to pp sometimes because I'm using a laptop. Tilting the display by a few degrees difference and I seem to be seeing things differently on ur 2nd series i think its much acceptable n better looking. On series 3, pic no 1 can be done using a normal pns cam, means its too normal. |

Sharlene:
I like #4. Nice lighting and composition. Feel lonesome but beautiful. Pei Yu: #2 would've been nice if the lighting was like #1. Amanda: #3 would've been nice with better lighting and a cleaner background. |
