Actually the 5-system limit is Sony's planning from the beginning to help users. If your PS3 is broken/bricked, you can redownload it from the PSN store using the new PS3, so 2 slots of 5 are used. If your old PS3 is still functioning, there is an option on the XMB to deactivate the PSN ID on that machine, giving back 1 slot to your quota. Of course, by doing so all DLCs associated with that ID will stop from functioning on that machine. If the PS3 is broken beyond repair, the 1 slot might be lost forever or you can call the customer service to deauth/deactivate your ID from that broken PS3.

The problem with PS3 backup feature is a backup created by that particular PS3 can only be restored on the same PS3. The only way to transfer DLCs to new PS3 is by redownloading.

For SingStar, because of music company licensing that limits the DLCs to be on only one machine, the only way to transfer DLCs is by contacting customer support. This is because the DLCs will be locked to that machine forever. They will detach the songs from the PSN ID and then refunding the money into that account's PSN wallet. Then users will be able to re-purchase songs onto the new PS3.

A couple more noob questions:

1.I have a 512 KB internet connection.Would that be enough to play online games?
2.Is there any danger of virus infection while browsing the web with the PS3?
*
1. yes, depends on the host. if local no prob, if international you will see a lot of 'jumpers' laugh.gif
2. Nope.

if a virus can infect a ps3, then heaps of homebrew apps for ps3 must have been created by now yawn.gif

virus = unsigned code (not technically correct, but you get the idea)

guys how to know weather the ps3 controller is fake or original?
*
I dont mean to b**** but, controller, is a peripheral that you use everyday. so buying an authentic one is very important so you can use it for a long time. your best bet? But from Sony. But I never heard of counterfiet DS3..
