that's the best i could do, too many unused cables, and all sleeved, tried to hide behind but can't not to mention the 24 pin position on the mainboard not that good |

1st try not to bundle ur cable.. separate which one need, n not.. try to use as minimal (molex) connector as u can.. this will help make a few cable crossing ur casing..
for ur 24pin connector, cant go behind back panel plate? |

If your side panel do not have a window its better to bundle so as not to obstruct the air flow.

its the best if the 24 pins come behind the mobo tray to the mobo, and then sata, roll it like a spring and connect

QUOTE(sopen2003 @ Feb 1 2009, 03:27 PM) 1st try not to bundle ur cable.. separate which one need, n not.. try to use as minimal (molex) connector as u can.. this will help make a few cable crossing ur casing.. i use molex for 2 items: DVDROM and intake fan. perhaps i should get myself a SATA DVDRW in the future. IDE cable is very hard to manage, luckily that mine is blackfor ur 24pin connector, cant go behind back panel plate? perhaps i should try detaching both side panels and try to arrange nicely when i am free next time. for now, as what tomatos said, just bundle them up to provide better airflow i did hide the unused SATA connector behind 3.5" bays though, and ensure that the wires all be hidden as much as possible and there is no hole for me to slip my connector through, i think thats the best solution for my 24-pin QUOTE(tomatos @ Feb 1 2009, 03:28 PM) This post has been edited by cyew86: Feb 1 2009, 03:34 PM |

well i think the CM690 will have great cable management, since it has clips and hole beside the psu there for the wires~
how long is the length of mobo tray and the side panel cover?? coz i thought of hiding all wires behind mobo |

QUOTE(sopen2003 @ Feb 1 2009, 03:35 PM) like this.. 24 pin cable routing perhaps could be done, but i afraid it might obstruct the airflow to the PSU (the fan is located at the bottom), but will try nonetheless, thanks !!!!so ur 4/8pin mobo/psu connector can bundle together and do lower ur cd/dvdrom/rw.. so ur ide cable can hv a good management.. about the dvdrom part, i prefer to make it at the top, looks nicer from outside QUOTE(Koki @ Feb 1 2009, 03:36 PM) well i think the CM690 will have great cable management, since it has clips and hole beside the psu there for the wires~ many CM690 users managed to manage their cables nicely, shud not be a problemhow long is the length of mobo tray and the side panel cover?? coz i thought of hiding all wires behind mobo only Elite user like me having trouble, lol |

@cyew86
u can bundle up 24 n 4/8pin together.. try to bend it, n follow till reach bottom of ur psu then when u lower ur dvd/cd rom, this will make space for ur bundle unused cable to rest ontop of it.. n u can bend ur ide nicely.. this is just my suggestion. @Koki it depend on ur mobo (connector placing) n psu cable.. sometime u cant hidden all behind ur side panel Added on February 1, 2009, 3:45 pm@cyew86 then u need to buy long ide cable.. got 1 forumer sale it.. how come the Elite series is so bad for cable management??
@cyew86 lol tape ur 4pin mobo connector to the back there or just stick it on the top as for the 24 pin, maybe tape on top, have a few turns and connect?? @sopen2003 i'm using the M3A78-EM dual screen with only integrated graphics and doing great =D |

u know i tried to tape up my IDE cables after folding, but it failed
any other type of IDE cables? it sucks when its so hard =( EDIT : @sopen2003 no la this mobo http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=...252&modelmenu=1 , but the place for the 24 pins, 4pins and others are same la i chose that CM 690 because psu at bottom la psu on top not much efficiency at bottom of course better la This post has been edited by Koki: Feb 1 2009, 06:13 PM |

i think the efficiency he said was about the CManagement la. not about the wattage. |
