Installation guide
- Install Call of Duty 4 to your driver (Default would be C:)
- Update the game until latest version. Current would be 1.7
- Download Punkbuster and update it. You can get punkbuster from here
- Download and install xfire. (optional)

Useful Tips
- If you got punked out by punkbuster, your punkbuster probably not updated. Download this to update your punkbuster.
- If you got banned by server admin when you tried to join the server for the first time, the CD key you using probably is the global banning CD key. To get a new CD key, is to purchase the original copy of Call of Duty 4.
- When you purchase an original Call of Duty 4, the patch is on default, which is 1.3. You need 1.4, 1.5 and 1.6 patch. Get 1.4 from here , 1.5 patch from here and 1.6 Patch from here.
- Latest patch, 1.7

Add games into Favorite
i) Go ingame then click Join Game
ii) Change your source to Favorite.
iii) Insert the IP address given by your friends, etc. Click Enter. (The IP should look like this xxx.xx.xxx.xxx:xxxxx) Different place have different IP. not all also have 3 digits
iv) You should be able to see your games at the favorite section.

Ingame Tips
- There is no any weapon being banned from using in any server. You can use anything that suits you well.
- If you gotten vote kick due to grenade launcher, a.k.a noob tube, remember the name of the person who started the voting, report here and the admins will do the work.

Ehem Version
If you're thinking about using an unoriginal copy to play cod4, yes you can. Just that limited servers to join. As far as I know, only Narakka you could join in local. Other server in Thailand and HK are slowly converting into original ONLY. SG, Australia are all originals only.
