hi TS....borrow ur thread for a while hehe....

Hey guys, as far as i'm concern, the recommended air pressure for the tyre is 26psi n tis is according to the manual booklet. However, i pumped in 28psi into my tyres and will that give any negative effects onto my car?? Btw, my tyre size is 205/70/15. Mine is the non DVVT version.

Alright, since i have borrow ur thread for my personal usage, i guess i have to share my experience wif TS as a token of appreciation laugh.gif .
Basically, my family has owned tis car since 2000. It doesn't give us any headaches since from the very first day of owning tis car...no joke. Apart from that, the build quality of tis car is ok.....nth much to shout about.

As wat zacevox said earlier....the suspension is damn hard =.=. Sumtimes, it really hurts my buttock sweat.gif

About FC, mine is around 10km/litre. But the best figure was 13km/litre. Btw, mine is an auto tranny smile.gif

to all the sifus at here.....i would like to ask for help to solve my prob smile.gif

Alright, when my car is idling, it vibrates badly n the rpm reading is showing below that the ones stating at the manual booklet. The rpm reading is showing it at around 500 rpm. However, when i switch off the A/C, it seems that the reading would get better n the car won't vibrate as bad as with the A/C is being switched on. I wonder wat could had caused such thing happen?? hmm.gif

There's another thing i would like to know about..... it seems that the gearbox's response is quite slow. For example, when i shfit from N > D n vice versa n i found out that it took around 1+- sec to complete the process. Is that normal for a kembara ?? Coz when i drive other cars, i have never face such prob.

Btw, I'm driving a non - dvvt kembara (2000) auto tranny. Appreciate to those who are willingly to help me sort out the problems. nod.gif

it likely is your engine turning which i don't know what problem tongue.gif or it possible is the air filter dirty.
mine 700-800rpm when idle with aircorn off, vibrate abit.
but i think is normal, lower rpm mean lower rev = lower fuel comsumption.

gearbox? maybe you need to change gearbox oil or your gearbox is finish, because kembara nondvvt known for gearbox problem
*
Could it be the AF ratio that caused the vibration prob??? hmm.gif Yea, lower rev = lower fuel consumption smile.gif

Well, my dad would bring the car to SC according to the schedule....so i guess the gearbox oil isn't the main cause of it?? Gearbox finish?? omg doh.gif
However, i sat on a few other kembaras (non-dvvt version ) n i noticed that their gearbox also like that....

Is 10.5km/liter considered good fuel efficiency? Does it mean that the higher the value, the more fuel efficient it is biggrin.gif ... Is it as fuel efficient as Kelisa?

How much are the spare parts of the Perodua Kembara DVVT? I heard that it is as expensive as the parts for Toyota Harrier rclxub.gif . Is it true?
*
I should say that's a bad FC figure for a compact car. Still, both kelisa and viva are holding the best FC figure (comparison between perodua models). You can't really expect good FC from a kembara due to the drivetrain system n the puny engine.

How about the spare parts? Is it expensive or it is difficult to get since it is obsolete? Is the engine/cabin noisy (for a DVVT model)?
*
U can easily obtain the spare parts through Perodua's SC in an expensive price of coz.
I guess the engine noise for the DVVT model should be quieter than the HC-EJ ones. I guess it should be kinda similar to myvi's engine noise.
