Manage to create custom firmware. Now, how to restore it? If with iTunes, it doesn't work.

Trying to recreate with 600MB partition. So far so good. No crashing or creation errors.
Update: Error 6 again! I'm giving up this shit and going back to 1.1.4 where it works fine. This post has been edited by acbc: Aug 10 2008, 10:15 PM |

frozzbyte,
Yes. As per instruction from iClarified. Now, I'm stuck at Recovery Mode... can't get back to normal mode. This post has been edited by acbc: Aug 10 2008, 10:33 PM |

QUOTE(frozzbyte @ Aug 10 2008, 10:35 PM) I assume u have the latest itunes. Problem now is I'm always stuck at Recovery Mode (connect to iTunes) screen and no way to set it back to DFU besides restoring to 2.0.1 stock firmware.Ok then do this. 1. Open winpwn 2.0.0.4 2. Search for iPhone1,1_2.0.1_5B108_Restore.IPSW 3. Open IPSW Builder 4. Tick Cydia + Installer (optional) + YouTube Activation 5. If you have custom image then sellect it. 6. Leave custom payload alone 7. Activate Phone only. 8. Resize partition to 550mb. 9. Build ipsw 10. When finish creating ipsw, click iPwner again and select the CUSTOM ipsw file, not the stock one. This is just to make sure itunes is pwned. 11. Close winpwn and open itunes 12. Put phone into DFU modes. This you have to figure out how but basically the screen is black without anything and itunes recognize it and ask to restore. Try that and report back. |

Now at 2.0.1 but lost the ability to receive radio signals. Speaker also died (stuck in headphone mode).
Not really 2.0.1 fault as 1.1.4 also inhibit the same problem. Looks like a lemon hardware. |
