I think the only way to make idiotproof hack is to PWN the iTunes in such a way that all u need to do is plug iPhone in to PC, n click Restore 1 time kautim. Coz that's how so many ppl end up with dead phones. They all think their hacked phones can simply update to latest firmwares without JB n unlock.

Not all phones can do the simple 10 secs method. My 2nd phone needs the 7 sec + 10 sec method. So it is pretty scary stuff for those doing this unlocking stuff for the 1st time.

Sum of the phones need this method to get it into DFU. Hafta hold both Power n Home button for 7secs, when USB beeps, quickly let go Power n keep holding Home for another 10 secs until USB beeps again. Mebe sum phones very stubborn like donkey. Need big kick in bekside b4 going to DFU. My other iPhone just use 10 secs kautim.

Sum phones dont work with 10 secs. My 2nd iPhone didnt work with the normal 10 secs way. Stumped me as to y I cudn DFU it until I read sleepers site on how to DFU if there are probs with 10 secs method. He oso sed to use the 7+10 method. I tried it n it worked the 1st time. Those that dont work with 10 secs need to try 9,8 or 7 secs.
