Let me share my experience. I just moved to Boon Lay, SG end of last year. Previously I worked in Sunway, PJ for 1+ years.

Necessary expenses (PJ)
Rental = RM450 (no aircon)
Internet = RM27.50
Food = RM2-10/day, RM300/month (chap fan, bread, etc)
Transport: RM0
Entertainment & etc = RM100-300
Salary = RM2200
Saving = <RM1000

*PS: No car/transport required since living nearby office

Necessary expenses (SG)
Rental = S$480 (aircon, high speed internet)
Internet = S$0
Food = S$8/daily, S$300/month (chap fan, etc)
Transport: S$2/daily, S$80/month
Entertainment & etc = S$0 (incld in transport, not sure where to go either lol)
Salary = >S$2200
Saving = >S$2000

*PS: Seriously, most of the food here overrated by locals and sucks.

I found the room via agent, so need to pay half month rental as agent fee. Location is quite convenient but I wish it's nearer to MRT station rather than bus stop.

Not high compared to others I know laugh.gif Soon you will have the same too.

Food is still bearable due to cheap price, so cant complaint much.
