Astro use digital for transmission only right? Cause their picture quality sucks, which could mean their source is analogue.

QUOTE(callmevil @ Aug 11 2008, 07:59 AM) yes digital for transmission.. but as for source.. its not a matter of it being analogue or not, its a matter of compression. their source is using sd compression. Just what I've been telling people about HDMI cable. It's digital, either you get a picture or "dead" pixels. u notice when it rains astro just cuts off.. this shows that its digital because if its analogue, ull just get noise on ure screen.. but digital its either all or nothing.. astro can definitely fix this though by just increasing the length of their transmission longer to that of a raindrop's diameter.. Astro can fix the rain issue? Then why the hell didn't they do that already? |

QUOTE(sunauto @ Aug 12 2008, 10:34 AM) Maybe in the future I guess, I'm sure by then, we'll have plenty of choices to choose from especially for a digital tuner. I wonder RTM HD is 1080i or 1080p? I don't think there's a 1080p broadcast yet, even in USA. Currently only 720p or 1080i. Correct me if I'm wrong though. |
