Capture this video over the weekend. We dived at Sandy Bottom, where there was 2 Vietnamese wrecks.

Dive site was about 20m below the surface. The Wreck itself is about 8m high!

Just got back from a day dive around Pulau Payar

Shark Point @ Pulau Karchi
viz = between 5m - 10m
condition = current & waves (raining in the morning)
comment = saw a sea turtle, some nudi. dive was aborted half way as viz drop to less than 5m sad.gif

Coral Garden @ Pulau Payar
viz = between 10m - 15m
condition = waves
comment = marine life and corals quite plentiful. smile.gif

Happy diving to all!

Here's the list of dive centres I have dived with and would endorse based on the service i got.

Perhentian
Steffen Sea Sports - Teluk Aur - Ricky
Flora Bay Divers - Teluk Dalam - Azman Sulaiman
Spice Divers - Pasir Panjang - Muski

Tioman
Tioman Reef Divers - Kg Tekek - Reno
Zai ( Don't recall his Dive Centre's name) - Kg Paya ; obviously Zai
Fisherman Divers - Kg Salang - Alfian (don't know if he did his instructorship yet)

*
Just to add my 2 cents.

Perhentian

Bubbles DC - Eric & Ronnie, always a homely place to chill and relax

Tioman
TRD - Reno's place is always welcoming. Especially when he brings out the tsing tao
B&J - ben / mark / martin - strict but friendly, german instructors but if u r planning to do techie, they r the best around

Merang / Bidong Island
Sea Monkey - Arnold / Macha - one of most upmarket/lavish place to stay for diving (sutra beach resort), especially for morning breakfast

Hi, the course itself is around RM900 to RM950. exclude transportation , accommodation and meal of the island trip.

there are 2 type of teaching method:
1. half at swimming pool (learn all skills), then go to the sea and dive
2. learn and dive at the sea

I personally prefer 2nd choice. if you are working or unable to take long leave then option 1 is prefered.

some people able to learn without knowing to swim. The most important is do you feel comfort in the water or afraid? Did snorkelling b4? do u afraid?
swimming is an advantage when you are on the water surface, you need to swim to boat or swim to someone.. etc.. There are also ppl learn swimming after acquired diving license.

Or you can just go to any dive shops to join their trips. You'll meet lots of new divers through that too.
