They don't have much units available. Hopefully still got rooms. If not, I will check with them if they have rooms for September 14-16.

Tuna Bay cheapest is RM320 per night for triple room, RM250 per night for twin room. Breakfast included. So it's about RM220 cheapest for 2 nights for the rooms. Still quite okay if use own equipment, around RM545 if doing 5 dives.

Won't be able to do so many dives since only 3D2N. sad.gif

Arrival day 2 dives, 2nd day 5 dives = 7 dives smile.gif

How big only they consider as group? 7 dives max I guess. Can't do 15 dives. biggrin.gif

Going to sell my S95 with Canon Housing. Around 1.5 years old. Everything still in good condition. It has 2 batteries, not the original one as original one spoil edi, but 2 good compatible batteries bought less than half a year ago. Can last for few dives, even with recording video. Will throw in one SD card too.

PM me if interested. smile.gif

Edit: My Canon G9 with Canon Housing also available if anyone interested.
Maybe I should start renting out my cameras instead. laugh.gif

http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g3...Terengganu.html

and for the price:
http://www.mamaschalet.com.my/index.php?op...id=49&Itemid=56

Type                                price
Deluxe Sea View (Aircond) 160.00
Deluxe Garden View (Fan) 85.00
Standard Garden (Fan) 65.00

anybody got experience on this? and what about the location? i'm not familiar with this place? is it located on strategic part of the island?

The toilet looks usable. And they have more units than Abdul's. I'll email them for availability. biggrin.gif

So when is the date? September? May??
*
I'll try to book for May first. It's public holiday + school holiday, and not very much in advance so have to see whether they got rooms available or not. Most of the hotels open for reservations since December last year. sweat.gif

Will try to book either Mama's, Abdul's or Tunabay.

1. imran85 (1 pax)
2. munkeyflo (2 pax)
3. b5n111 (1 pax) - confirm upon date s finalised
4. numblink (1 pax) - if date ngam
5. tantalus (1 pax)
6. EvanSoon (1 pax)

I think need to get 3-4 rooms. Abdul's got only 3 fan rooms. Mama's has 20 fan rooms.
b5n111, can book aircond room if got anyone willing to share with you. biggrin.gif

which day of May that we r looking at?

If we choose Abdul over Mama, 3 fan room + 1 Garden Std AC room?
*
Trying to get 24-26th May. If other weekends, some of us might to take leave or skip classes.
Then again, 24-26th May is the start of school holidays.

Yea, if we go with Abdul, some of us may need to pay more for AC room.

Called Abdul Chalet, told me to wait for response to my email. Sent email to them yesterday already.
Called Mama's Chalet, told me to call their office but called few times since this morning, kept on number busy.
Called Tunabay, told me they don't sell rooms only because it's school holiday. Even not school holiday also they sell rooms only to smaller group like 2 or 4.

I cant make it on sept. going simpadan if the war there ended.

Try arwana? Although its sort of the other side of the island..
*
Was trying to get Tunabay that side those hotels, cause there more restaurants and more happening also.
Arwana has some pretty bad reviews eh. The only thing I see that ppl compliment is that it has a big swimming pool. Which makes no point for us. Lol.
http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g3...Terengganu.html

I'll try to check with Coral View first.

Don't think you can sleep 5 person in one room.

I'll book 2 standard AC rooms and 1 deluxe hill for now.

Lol, it's not possible to have 5 people in the room

what i said is take 1 of each room:
So 2 double/twin room: 1 for munkeyflo, 1 for 2person (out of 5)
and 1 deluxe hill : 1 for 3 person (out of 5)

But for redundancy, I think it's better to book 3 double/twin room, then later to add another extra mattress for 1 room. (in case someone cancel)
*
Good idea. 3 double/twin room sounds better.

guys, I always have problem equalizing. especially the first dive. usually due to sinus problem. tongue.gif anyone else facing similar problem? any remedy or solution to it?
*
I carry Clarinase with me for all my dive trips. Pop one in the morning and maybe another one after lunch if sinus is bad. It helps A LOT! Best solution.
If you don't want pills or nasal spray, then go slow. Take your time to equalize. Most important is to make sure you do not feel pain. Don't force it, the last thing you want is a ear infection/injury.

I was told to tilt your head to the side so the block ear face upwards, then try to equalize again.

hmm... clarinase, good idea. will give that a try. thanks munkeyflo!

If you've not taken clarinase before, better check with your doctor first. smile.gif
Otherwise, see what other meds your doc can recommend. My ENT used to prescribe nasal spray for me, but I find it very uncomfortable to use, so didn't continue. And it expires after a few years since I can't finish using the whole bottle after opening. Make sure the meds you plan to take doesn't make you drowsy. smile.gif
