I have question here..
how can I enable shortcuts on my homescreen..
like I seen other w960i homescreen have a lot of shortcut icons and also a shortcut for walkman at the middle of the screen

just try to recalibrate, but in some cases the connectors inside the phone loose liow

Ok, lets start with introduction of what can u do if you hacked the fon.

These are the list of what you can do with it.

-Speed Up Your UIQ 3 Phone!
-P990 Modding, GDesk

-Camera mods
-Soundmod FULL*
-G900 Torch Available for P1/W960/P990*

-install unsigned apps*

Actually there are other things it can do, but a few thing Im not sure how to do it.


OK. Please note this is another way to hack UIQ fon:)

1.Download capswitch, sis-instaler mod, Swiss Manager 1.7, and File Explorer.
2. Extract all, and install capswitch.
3. Install swissmanager pro or file explorer. *note- if swissmanager pro cant install, try file explorer, but swissmanager pro is more recommended.
4. Then, open capswitch and off the capabilities.
5. Now, copy installserver.exe into c:/sys/bin/*here
6.After completed all, restart your fon to make sure the fon refreshed with new item in it.
7. Now you go! U can install unsigned apps, access c drive and extract your z drive.

i received 2 sms white restarting the phone, but can retrieve it and still shown icon of unread sms anyone can help?

what? are u using swiss manager pro? go to more>settings>file> tick show ROM drive..

try to check the whole inbox..:)when this thing happen, the date of the message will accidentally change to other date. it happen to me as well..

btw,anybody using gps with garmin bluetooth GPS receiver. i heard n saw ppl can use GPS on w960i,but i dunno how cos i belief its different than p1i(have M2 slot-easy).....can we just install garmin xt on the hardisk?
btw,im getting this phone for my GF very very soon.....n i get myself a p1i. UIQ definately better than S60,no point getting a Nseries with all hightech stuff...but in the end u CANT touchscreen......

guys,
since this phone has a build in 8gb memory, is it really a big DISadvantage? if the phone is corrupted, i need to format the whole hp rite?

many people thought that w960 only has 8gb memory..it is totally wrong...actually it has phone memory (all fon have) 160mb and also media memory 8gb...the difference between media memory and memory stick of common fone is that the media memory can not being seperate from the fon. If we do master reset, only fon memory will affect. So, if the fon did corrupt, just format phone memory..all song and pic that we saved in media memory will not be affected.

hey..already mod my camera =). So far no problem, maybe someday ill post the video..huhu..but in my observation the pic quality is better..the video has more fps so it less lagg.

btw just for ur info, pls do NOT install the vista start up shutdown animated screen from there!!! mine after install can reboot anymore, need to flash the phone oledi...and my data gone

poor you...erm..modding camera, we only have to copy the given folders in c. If the folder already exist in c just copy the files in the folder to the existed folder in c..if we ovewrite the modded folder into c, maybe sumting will lost.. after all files copied, restart the fon. open camera and you find it in Russian language.. dun worry, copy pvcamera.rsc in z drive to c..erm. that overall briefing only. maybe post the full tutorial next time..very busy right now..huhu
