Most of us go for Sandisk. Some Kingston. Very few go for other brands.

Advance Device Lock / Pro. It enables you to lock each individual app installed in your phone.

However, people can still take out your micro-SD card and plug into card reader.

Useful to deter friends who borrow your h/p to look/test/play play when go out mamak or somewhere.

E.g. If lock gallery, when you open gallery app (Menu -> gallery), ADL will intercept and ask to enter passcode. If wrong key entered, it will not show gallery menu (Images, Track, Lifeblog, etc.). You can keep on trying the wrong passcode or reboot, it will still show the enter passcode screen.

So, if you lock File Manager, X-plore, Sysexplorer, etc. then no one can browse the files in your mobile.

If you lock Messaging, then cannot read/send SMS already.

If you lock Camera app, no one can take picture.

If lock gallery, resco photo viewer, etc. then no one can view images in your mobille.

Unless take out micro-SD and read using USB card reader. The above applies when your friend wants to borrow your N82 to play play for a while.

I think the feature is similiar like handysafe.

It also has additional feature to enter passcode when boot up the phone, even without sim card, as it install in phone memory. If you lost the phone, the user can't even reset it, as it does not boot up into the menu. The only way is to force-hard-reset (NSS?) by sending to mobile centres.

Have to learn GMXT way of using search key words.

e.g. you want to goto Jalan Kemajuan, just type in "Kemajuan" (without the double quotes) and search

you want to go Taman Ampang, type in "Ampang"

you want to go SS15/6D, type in "SS15"

you want to go Ipoh Taugeh Chicken Rice, enter "chicken"

you want Public Bank, enter "PBB" or "PBBank" or "Public" or "Bank" -> you'll know what I mean wink.gif

Forgot to check with you, are you using GMXT 4.x or 5.x ?

In 5.x, leave the address number blank, then enter the street name "kemajuan"

In 4.x, I forgot the actual screen, but you have to click Where To -> 3rd Button (not 1st) -> Spell name -> enter "kemajuan"
Do not use the address search or something. Just use the plain Spell Name.

in GMXT 5, how to get malaysia maps?
*
Please differentiate between GPS Application software (engine) and the map itself.

GMXT is the engine.

Map you can get from 3rd party like mapking, malsingmap, malfreemap, etc.

Follow the instruction in N82v3 thread, page 1.

No. Have to wait Nokia to officially announce whether N82 will have firmware upgrade from FP1 to FP2.

Pray hard for it...
