Windows Vista Ultimate should be the best but it's usually up to the users demands. All my computers are only running Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 32-Bit (OEM).

officially, 512MB is minimum, 1GB is recommended
but technically 2GB will be enough to get a smooth experience smile.gif
but as the RAM price is getting dirt cheap nowadays, there is no harm in getting 4GB RAM (will only be fully utilized in 64-bit environment) wink.gif
