There's news that the 60gb version is already being sold in the US but so far no one dares to open it up to see if it's using jasper or not.

Gonna get this 60GB version when near of this mth. Since it got 3 yrs warranty, nothing to worry about.

I seriously don't have problem with rrod.. coz I bought mine for almost 2yrs++.. and still going strong...the only bad thing is.. it is modded and the console was banned from xbox live. It's not really big deal anyway..

I wanna buy a new one mainly becoz I wanna play some worthy games using original disc. Thus I have a long list on what games to buy when I bought the new ummoded X360..

If the game are not worthy.. I will just play the *ahem* version on my moded console.

thats rite...dont think too much...enjoyed and play smart...3 yrs warranty meh...worth it...

That 60gb one was manufactured on June 2008 so maybe you need to get the one thats manufactured on August for the new chip. There is still improvements though.

good news...time to lanyak my falcon hahaha...anyway i do believe jasper also will get into 3rod , we will see...if good then jasper will be one of my wish list , if not waiting for valhalla chipset.

65nm CPU + 65nm GPU + thinner RAM + revised internals = lower power consumption & lower heat output.

Seriously.... after almost 3 long years, 2 key design revisions and 1 billion US dollars written off for warranty claims, I'm pretty damn sure they'll get it right this time around.

Is it really the Jasper unit?! I seriously doubt it.
Moreover, it is still the old premium 20GB units and not the new 60GB.
Now that the 60GB has already been released, i doubt that people will consider purchasing a 20GB version for a similar price, or is it cheaper

As for Jasper, guess we'll have to wait for another few more months.

60GB is already on sales in SG, 499SGD (former 20GB price tag).
My local game shop owner here can't promise me the price yet, need to depends on how much the supplier offer him...
I think it should be around RM1300-1400..
Hope they won't gila gila raise the price.

Halo 4 already in works for next-gen Xbox...

Because a successful console will still be popular even if it's superceded. Look at the PS2, it was well into its lifespan when they brought out the slim one. Furthermore, the 360 is such a flawed product in terms of hardware, they have no choice but to keep at it until the MTTF is reduced as much as possible. that way, they don't have to be saddled with dealing with a problematic prev-gen when they're launching the next one. It's also important for the customers to know that MS is committed to a full life development schedule, so they can be assured of that with the next gen one too.

So, by continuing development on the 360, they learn what not to do on the next-gen one (i hope!), and the player base keeps on increasing...

The hell...but i still don't have any of the next gen.....

And that makes me a sad panda...

X360 seems to be going the PS2 route, long term to 2011 or 2012. Sony on the other hand, should be cutting their losses short and cashcowing on the PS4 ASAP (2011) with Wii-Gamecube like upgrades to hardware and a cheaper price at launch.

it looks promising for xbox to look on the future like PS2

if ps3 is looking at shorter comings, then they are not confident with what they have released

the main reason ps3 is failing is the inability for exclusive games,ms is very comfortable with sales bcos of support of multi platform developers ms has hit sony weakness.

u can get a 3rod console from rm200-400 depends if 1st time 3rod xpensive la if few time ady 3rod rm200 boleh la,i bought an unmodded unit.

Well Its a long time and they should release it I think December or January. But The Good News in the revised falcon chipset which is being used now that has the Manufacture Date from 20th August 2008 gives no problem so far. So Far I didnt heard or saw any 3ROD from the manufactured date from 60 gb August 2008 also hope i am right so its best buy. But Jasper will rule.

and in mid 2009 or in Q3 valhalla will come i am hearing that it will be for slim xbox 360.

Usually shops here will add something else to their pack, 2nd controller, cables etc. Try to ask for the price of what came in the box only.
