and beside using a quality wash shampoo and medium.. always remember that u r GLIDING the wash medium through the paint... not SCRUBBING through...

oh ok.. i got what u mean... From ur description.. it sounds like a safe method to me.. but u gotta make sure all the dirt has sucked up by the medium.. hence u wont be dragging it when u "rinsing" with ur MF..

how about this, experiment it on ur own car.. hehe.. tape an area of 5x5" with no imperfections.. then try it with ur own method and see how it fares..

I started with Megs but as my Passion grew - spending grew more - they do make good stuff (but has slowed down since then) to them The ROI & KPI is far more important that results & effectiveness - as marketing still play the big part in this game

at the end of the day is $$$$$$$$

As for autoglym is also what i started with before Megs - they are great products, way back 15 years ago - but time has change since then

Eg 20 years ago - nobody would ever belive that there is a wok that you can literary fry an egg without a single drop of oil or with a single drop of oil you can fried bee hoon) but now we know there is teflon coated...all thanks to technology & internet - informations is so free but of which is authentic

same goes with video calls & 3G - 20 years ago if i knew this - i would have dumb in all my saving into telcos shares -

my conclusion- what was good 20 years ago doesnt mean what is still good for now

Hi Buddy matt  paint is paint - dont wash them under the sun & dont send to car wash - as the SLS & SA will etch the paint - dont you agree
paint is still paint -  it is vital you do not send it to the wrong hand

the best washes for them is still onr as it is clear coat safe, so gentle it does not etch on yr paint & it has polymers to protects the aging too...since you cant wax to protect the paint -

I am detailien - not rocket scientist - nor extremist but a bit hard core detailer only

since you agreed with me the recommendations of the manufacture usage - it is vital for you to consider to do it properly & correctly to avoid damage

NOW, the question is - if it takes you 1 1/2 - 3 hours to wash your car then - would you be still consistently doing it for a long run????

for the most important part of car detailing is not wax kinda wax or techniques u applied it nor polishers or machines but a simple car washes - that you do it so frequent   & so damages it often (when it is done improper)
MONEY vs INVESTMENT - the very fact you can afford to buy a car is - you can afford to up keep it
other than petrol, routine services , up keeping - car wash is unavoidable - as it will deteriorate your car  2nd hand value -   

imagine would you more for a car that is total repainted & original!!!!!!

my onr wash only takes 8 liters water & 3 microfibers (in 20 minutes) ta da 

my wax only takes another 5 minutes (ta da) 

no like the old conventional way - writing on a piece of paper roll on the pigeon legs & hopefully it fly to the right place for the right recipient - now we have telephone - then TV then - internet & wireless world - 3G & bla bla bla - would you still like to communicate with paper???

I am surveying about detailing, for my own ride as i prefer do all by myself..

so now i am looking for all the items needed. Hope all bros here can guide me.

For the polisher, this morning i surveyed & the only polisher i find quite affordable is Bosch GEX 125 AE, variable speed from 7500rpm to 1200rpm.. Is this polisher any good to use for car detailing? How about the pads?

And I have no idea on what i need to look for the waxes, polish etc.. Can pls recommend, suggest to me?? My wira is full of swirl, and scratch..

i want to do clay on my car...but the problem is i dun hav any lubricant....anyone can teach me how to do??? thx
erm...regarding some remove swirl product...meguiars better or Turtle Wax better...Price is Rm66 for meguiars compare to Rm 33 for turtle wax....anyone can comment it?

lol!!! ...... aiseh man !! Maybe a polish will help remove water mark, if it doesn;t..dare I suggest compounding that spot. Don;t know if its the right thing to do

did you apply finishing detail after wax?

Yeah .....the UQD will bring the 'pop' out from that shine!

When you use your NXT Tech Wax, how long did you wait before you buffer off the wax, or was it apply and wipe off immediately?

Did you also allow for "cure" time for the wax?

i have use PG sealant during my early years of car ownership, i choose it because it's quite cheap ( usually come with claykit also, now no more dy) and work wonders to seal any scratch mark made by my neighbours cats and easy to use..

but the problem with this PG is that after using it for some time, i noticed the colour has fade a lot especially under hot sun compared to other similar car( same year& colour)

Since then i start using NXT2.0, and i think it less effective to seal scrath mark but as long as it doesnt eat my paint i'm ok with it, and another thing is a bottle of NXT2.0  really can last long( bought it since early last year, still have another 1/2 bottle, use 1 time a month)

Looking foward to try meguairs polish & wax next..
