em what's the purpose of the core inside the ball?

the core tht will help the ball to hook...for spinner i suppose it will help give sum backup reaction but it still depend on how u spin/throw the ball...

wat bro dante meant is:
backup reaction - the movement of the ball moving to the (right for right hand) n (left for left hand). its called back up..coz generally, for right hand bowlers, the ball would hook to the left..bt since it moves to the right, thats y ppl call it back up.. spinners ball would back up slightly depending on oil condition, how much spin u have..

cranker - power hook player..relies alot on power, revolutions and hook.. the crankers u see would have alot of revs and their ball would hook alot.. but very2 hard 2 keep consistent

stroker - normal (orthodox) hook bowler..relies alot on accuracy n consistency.. ball would not have as much power n hook as the crankers but very much easier to keep consistent


btw, a gr8 classic spinner ball if u can find is ebonite tomahawk..its like the must have ball for spinners years back..maybe abit hard to find nowadays..
