i think he means rescue by buying it from the seller who is not capable of taking care of it properly. something like the petaling street pet shop where you see the suggies all in small cages and dirty, etc etc. so he thinks he can 'rescue' it by buying it and giving it a better home. but then it's like a chicken and egg situation, if you buy one, then the seller would go catch another to replace the one you bought. so, would you go and rescue more and more? there must be a limit or better yet, you can't do anything for them.
