How do we know a forum or blog is "dofollow"?

Just install the firefox addon - searchstatus which will tell you whether the forum is dofollow or nofollow
Or you can view the source, if there is "rel=nofollow" mean nofollow, else it is dofollow

One tip to share with all, before writing an article, hit up to Google Keyword Tool to find out if your article is going to have high search volume. If it is not, try finding similar words with a high search volume, but still with the message you want to convey.

Dont do that, you wouldnt get listed at good position since those high search volume normally have high competition
Always go for long tails keyword which have most related to your blog

I've tried blog commenting and twiiter. It actually brings great traffic to my new blogs each time.

I started with blog commenting, and it brings around 10-30 trafics each comment. This will depend on whether the comment you make is the first few.

Twitter also brings great amount of traffics. each time i tweet about new posts, i see my traffic increased significantly.

It's quite simple actually, just do this :

1) Go to 'Edit HTML' under 'Design' in blogger and tick expand widget templates

2) Find (Ctrl + F) this line : <b:include data='blog' name='all-head-content'/>

3) Add this code right after it :

<meta content='DESCRIPTION HERE' name='description'/>
<meta content='KEYWORDS HERE' name='keywords'/>
<meta content='AUTHOR NAME HERE' name='author'/>

4) Change description with your blog description, keywords with your blog's keywords, author name with... you know.

Thanks for all the info shared. I've tried tips like using Facebook to promote my site and indeed it did increase traffic the past few weeks.

I have to say, it has to work with Social Media Marketing. And, now it is not only content, submit to blog directory, it is about online reputation management. Since Google now able to crawl social media e.g Facebook and Linkedin, putting in right keyword in your Facebook page or group, having discussion, engage your potential on Facebook is a must to draw traffic to your blog.

Many people actually spend more time on social networking site compared to Google.

Just focus only on your blog is not enough. Build a virtual online community thru genuine relationship. It may need long time and a lot of hard work, but it last longer.

i also got traffic from my twitter and facebook actually it is advantages to have fanpage to keep your fans and community~
