i think is not the fan bents, it the heatsink fin.

maybe because the PSU put together with the card and hempap the card. You should put the card in the different box (hard box). Envelope and sponge not enough to protect the card. both are easy to bend it self.

Even you have to do that, you should put the card on top and put THIS IS UP sticker. But that not help much, nobody care about the sticker anyway.
