All you guys and gals out there, i am impressed with your high praises for the LX3.
Having also gone through a couple of nightmares, i finally sold my Dslr camera and lens.
The problem was the fault of Jackel and Hyde personality in me.
One told me in the night not to sell and the other in the morning to sell.
So 10-15days of being indecisive, i finally let go of one of the personality and
SOLD.
Yes it was a big decision and if i had not taken it yesterday evening, i would have carried on and on.

Yes...i dont regret it now as i am typing and have a couple of other stuff to sell..but it should not be a problem.

Now..if you ladies and gentleman would come to my aid in a sense that i am looking to purchase this wonderful
camera...could you tell me :-

1). Where i could get the best price and with what accessories does this price come with...i mean the best deal.
2). Is there any good lcd protection , that doesnt peel off like the chepo ones.

My preference would be of course a Black one.

Anything else to buy with this camera...coming from a Dslr i hope you could enlighten me!..

finally bought LX-3 in BB plaza..
lol..all the asst. sale in Sg.Wang told me that da 'whole world' don have black colour..
but at last i found a few shops having black colour in BB plaza..
RM 1550..with 4gb..case..and one DEFECTED screen protector..cannot be peel off..and the size don fit wit the screen...lol..
but i guess the screen of LX-3 is bigger thn 3.0"...lol..looking for another protector now..any reccommend??

wat happen if i put a scar on the lens of my LX-3??
i really feel like wana cry now..juz now use a micro-fiber to slightly clean it and left some 'line' on it..
omg..it's really tat easy to get scars???

i am not sure..but gt some colour line and cannot be wipe away..mayb i don dare to wipe it hard la..
o should i get a lenspense to clean it? damn worry now..
the cloth i use to clean the lcd..but work perfectly..no scratch at all..and i shake the cloth in order to minimize the sand o dust..
so i guess the cloth is ok gua..will it b oily line? the lines reflect colours..
thx anyway for the concern..really scare + worry now..

my fren just bought for RM1950 from fotokem,with a original pouch(reli nicely),1 screen protector...Actually fotokem offer my fren RM2000, but my fren dun want the 2GB SD card that come with GX200. den become RM1950,worth woh.

want so wide for wat. can use multiple shot and combine in panorama maker. 

i like LX3 not coz of the wide lens.
but for the f/2.0 + high ISO performance 

wish lx3 had panorama mode also though..

Well, i called a couple of shops and they dont seem to have LX3 in stock.
One crazy guy quoted me RM1,000.00 w/o card..can you believe it.
At 1st i thought he must have heard me wrong,NO he said,"i have sold a lot of
LX3"....
I asked him 3 times and he quoted me the same price...
So i asked him again,but he said "Now NO stock,give me your no. and
i will call u when stock come"..... ...lol.
This shop is at Kota Raya and i spoke to an old guy...hehe.
Of course  i dont believe it,as i knew he was pulling my leg,as he
knew the market condition for this camera.
He knew i would wait for his stock to arrive and then he is going
to hit me with a higher price.

See how this shopkeepers twist the facts... .

Seriously i need the came,as i have sold my last piece of
DSLR equipment, the FLASH yesterday.
So i am CAMERALESS.....

Do keep me informed if any of you guys come across a new
LX3 (Black).

just come back from klcc to view the LX3...
i think is it not easy to use the LX3, have to learn to use the function since its manual camera.....

and the menu is not that user friendly!! hmmmm or need to learn 1st?? maybe its just few mins i tried the LX3....

anybody could share how to use it in the bestest way?

I guess the scene was quite dark and the king opted for a brighter setting.
But I think the best results for this kind of shot would be to use ISO-80, f/8.0 and maybe a 10s shutter.
