QUOTE(scripted @ Sep 12 2008, 04:47 AM) How to do that ar ? bluring the background :/ with lx3 @ 24mm f/2 , need to get close to 1cm i saw some interesting shots here http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/fotot...tmls/depth.html but i never got to figure out how to do it :/ edit: while not shooting macro Added on September 12, 2008, 8:51 am QUOTE(PCHo @ Sep 11 2008, 11:37 PM) Yo, thanks ionstorm! i notice that no distortion when the subject is in focus.Still quite noob at PP. hhaha.... But then after lens correction, basically u need to crop the photo rite? Anyway, I am still not very convinced this is something that should happen. I previously owned a FX01, and there was no such distortion throughout the 2 years I've used it. Now I see a couple of quite serious case of distortion in the 1st month of using the LX3. Other LX3 owners noticed this occurance? Added on September 12, 2008, 8:52 am QUOTE(adewhite @ Sep 11 2008, 11:37 PM) I don't know how much others can give but I was quoted RM1540 (4GB) last week by my seller. Of course, I have spent more than a lot buying DSLR and videocam stuff from him. very good price. someone here got it 1570 + 4gb + lumix pouch.Boeing offered me 1650. The girlfriend is very interested too but she's torn between K20D and the LX3... i got it for RM1600 with pouch only, no SD This post has been edited by daruma: Sep 12 2008, 08:52 AM |

LX3 really king of king.
![]() LX3 , f/2.8 , 60mm , iso400 (photoshop reduce noise, still retain more details than a200) A200, f/5.6 , 60mm , iso1600 LX3 , f/2.8 , 60mm , iso400 LX3 can perform just as good A200 in low light, @ lower ISO and bigger apperture. QUOTE(PCHo @ Sep 16 2008, 07:30 PM) This one is a nice shot. the distortion is ok la... as long as it's not on human face....doesnnt matter one... Great subject isolation Added on September 16, 2008, 8:02 pm Distortion generally means your photos look skewed or out of shape. Straight lines become curves, faces become deformed. This kinda phenomenon generally happens due to the lens, especially wide angle ones. With the LX3, the 24mm lens sometimes causes some severe distortion at the corners. An example is this: ![]() The cup in the top left corner is severely distorted, if u compare it with the cup on the right. But I've learned to live with a bit of distortion. Most of them can be fixed with PP. Another way might be to avoid weird angles when taking photos. like this still ok. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(112006 @ Sep 18 2008, 11:45 AM) It's Much more bigger than eye of Malaysia. yes ar... LX3 can perform just as good an entry Level DSLR with a kitty lens.Sorry, newbie here.. I need some advise on purchase digital camera. LX-3 price is almost a entry level DSLR. Would it really worthy to get LX-3 instead those entry level DSLR? Extremely noobie in photography. Just would like to explore and learn from getting one. Thanks coz the kitty lens apperture too small. if u buy dSLR also dun intend buy flash / prime lens. then better get LX3. see my comparison here http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/792834 |
