Anyway, I am still not very convinced this is something that should happen.
I previously owned a FX01, and there was no such distortion throughout the 2 years I've used it.
Now I see a couple of quite serious case of distortion in the 1st month of using the LX3.

Other LX3 owners noticed this occurance?

I don't know how much others can give but I was quoted RM1540 (4GB) last week by my seller. Of course, I have spent more than a lot buying DSLR and videocam stuff from him.

Boeing offered me 1650.

The girlfriend is very interested too but she's torn between K20D and the LX3...

At first i'm considering this as backup but since Micro Four Third announcement came up, i'm gonna wait for that.

not same lo....as the price i saw in KLCC,LX2 is RM1699,D-Lux3 is RM2699...more than LX2 about RM1k.......but heard someone said D-Lux3 come with a leather case produced by Hermes...

Got a bit of oil on my lens from my stupid self touching the it by accident a few days back, just got a pack of lens tissue to wipe it but then macam can't wipe of the oil smudge, any advice on what to do next ?

i doubt they let u take pics in kinokunia...

Distortion generally means your photos look skewed or out of shape.
Straight lines become curves, faces become deformed.
This kinda phenomenon generally happens due to the lens, especially wide angle ones.
With the LX3, the 24mm lens sometimes causes some severe distortion at the corners.

An example is this:

The cup in the top left corner is severely distorted, if u compare it with the cup on the right.

But I've learned to live with a bit of distortion.
Most of them can be fixed with PP.
Another way might be to avoid weird angles when taking photos.

Sorry, newbie here.. I need some advise on purchase digital camera. LX-3 price is almost a entry level DSLR. Would it really worthy to get LX-3 instead those entry level DSLR?

Extremely noobie in photography. Just would like to explore and learn from getting one.
