A200, f/5.6, 60mm , iso400 (LX3 could use iso100 with f/2.8 in this situation)
LX3 , f/2.8 , 60mm , iso400 (photoshop reduce noise, still retain more details than a200)
A200, f/5.6 , 60mm , iso1600
LX3 , f/2.8 , 60mm , iso400

LX3 can perform just as good A200 in low light, @ lower ISO and bigger apperture.

not to prove LX3 got better iso, but just show that it has big advantage in the big apperture that allows it to shoot @ lower ISO.

Really? All I see is a super aggressive noise pre-filter.

The aperture helps, but not to the extent that it makes the *sensor* better.

p/s: If you're talking about the Alpha (I hope for god's sake not)... nice exclusion of a prime.

Hahahah.....Daruma trying to start a hot debate here huh??

Ok, i own a LX3.
The cam is great.
The f/2.0 is marvelous for low light.
A bigger aperture means u can opt for faster shutter speeds and lower ISO settings. Which is basically Daruma's point of this thread.

hahaha....no need adjust head la.
Anyway, compared to the standard f/2.8, the f/2.0 will help reduce the shutter speed / ISO settings by 1~2 stops.
Which quite a lot actually laugh.gif
