The reviews are just Amazing for them. at least velodyne got failure issue and not so good customer support.. then i look at REL Strata II and HSUs.. but then someone (dirtrun) ask me to look at svs.. then got thumbs up from aimann.. so i look.. then omg.. fell in love... good customer support n near perfect customer feedback.. n lemme remind u how they look like irl

just finish watching gridiron gang (UK Imported BD)..

pq = mpeg2, acceptable.. not great
aq = lpcm, clear vocals.. else is nothing to brag about
storyline = zomg! v.good

though this movie dont have good aq/pq.. but im not complaining as its on bd meaning compared to dvd ver and downloaded ver, dis bd is currently the best damn version to watch the movie in Bar None..

recommended!

yay just picked up AVP unrated 2-pack, Nacho Libre and Top gun from the post.. woohoo~ Nacho Libre is another 'Chrome' cased bd.. now i got 4.. crank, rambo, skycaptain and nacho libre.. hehehee

300 is one of the worse bd i have in terms of PQ.. but i guess girls may enjoy watching it..

Just finished watching Secret Window (UK Import). my take on it

PQ - mpeg2, much better than most mpeg2 coded movies i have on bd, areas where the camera is focused on is clear (just adjust ure tv settings till the skin tone is right)
AQ - hmm lpcm 5.1, clear vocal, involving ambience.. not bad la..
Storyline - So good.. expect nothing less from a steven king's book..

final comment, if u havent seen the movie, then go get the BD, its one of those movies that not everyone have seen and wouldnt talk about in a crowd..

i understand its meant that way, but the expectation i had for the 300 bd was soo high that when i saw the sandy screen when it was playing just threw me off my chair.. what a waste of a would-be reference level pq for movies.. and... why i still stand that it is the worse pq bd for me is.. at least even in category7/beer league, there were moments when i thought 'wow, now thats crisp' or just generally overwhelm over SOME scenes, but no such moment existed through out the whole 300 movie.. haha just being honest waa.. beauty is in the eye of the beholder lol so grainy bd = ugweee

omg.. im not sifu rank yet but about pricecuts, theres a few things i do, first i subscribe to this amazon thing where itll alert u whenever theres a sale going on for blurays.. (http://www.amazon.com/gp/gss/detail/10860), 2nd is i do what arj suggested by adding things to ur wishlist..

also its good to have a list of movies that u know u must have for ur collection, then just go to amazon uk/us and check the price there and decide which movie to get from which site.. theres some which are cheaper on UK and some cheaper in US, so just bundle those together..

oh and one more thing, always read the forums, words travel like wildfire at lightning speed on forums..

PQ - mpeg2, as blur as watching movies in the cinema, this is a very very poor transfer.. first time bluray i couldnt see the grass one by one..

AQ - dolby digital 5.1, yep not TruHD.. not much i can say... just dissapointing again

storyline - haha this is of curz 10/10 loo~

if ur looking for aq/pq then stay away from this.. but if ur a comedy buff (me) and loves jack black movies (oso me) then this is definitely a must have! once u get the bd and find the case cover hilarious, ull be suprised when u open the case.. hahaha

my simpsons bd just arrived today from apisgogogogogogoal~~~~ hehe
