ok so here it goes

i got a iphone 2g from US. it was unlocked when i got it and i insert my Maxis sim and was working perfectly.

then i connected my iphone to itunes and then i saw this update thing and i clicked on it. how stupid i was. i never knew that my i[phone wudnt work afterwards. i am totally new to these kinda stuff and so please help me out here.

that moment the iphone firmware was 1.1.4 and i was upgrading it to 2.0. what should do i next to make it able to use again?
do i have to downgrade 1.1.4? and will it downgrade the baseband aswell? i am using windows xp by the way.

after downgrading to 1.1.4 , how to to activate my iphone? how to unlock it.? and wat does jailbreak mean?

is it safe to do all these? will there be any risk of any applications not functioning properly after the procedure? if anyone had faced a problem, please care to share.

Walao bro, please use the SEARCH button lerrrr....there a way there...later sifu² will flame you .....try to check at 4 sticky post there, there should have a way to unlock iphone..

It won't downgrade your baseband. You'll need KiPhone for that.

If u successfully restore 1.1.4 firmware, do not forget to enter *3001#12345#*, at emergency phone number, and click Jailbreak & Unlock (using ziphone.

Its ok... i never tot of it anyway... sims is always inside while im up and down grade trice heheheeee... but if you google around, some says its better to flush ur sim out... and some other say must be on flight mode while flashing (if sims in) coz it will crash d radio if ur unlucky... but so far, i dont give a damn.... honestly....

yeah..i did before sim in and sim out..i didn't see any diff

but i suppose to be on the safe side..take out the sim

i have a problem. i was trying to restore and after the process completed it says the iphone cud not be restored.?? an error has ocured 1015. then i run iliberty i cant use it cuz it says my iphone is in recovery mode. help what shud i do next?
