QUOTE(numbertwo @ Mar 30 2012, 10:52 AM) where are u located actually... and if you are serious I don't mind talking to them again to see if they are willing to take order again. As i mentioned, the last order was pretty much a back-2-back order as they don't keep stock on this model .. shipment was from HP S'pore.. I order the HP Proserve gigabit 8port switch(lifetime warranty) from them too. Im located in klang valley area. what about you?

QUOTE(prasys @ Mar 26 2012, 10:36 PM) 80 plus would do the trick. Dont worry bout it So any wattage psu with 80+ will do the trick? I thought psu goes best if it's within 50% of load? QUOTE(Neo|ofGeo @ Mar 26 2012, 10:43 PM) the most preferable 80+ power supply this day is 390W by Gigabyte Powerock RM79+- good psu Thanks wil take a look at it.

for those of you who wondering what happened to me and my N40L ... well my unit still in UK. my friend now too busy to send it over..... damn sad. Lucky i got reason not to rush it over with the HDD price. Numbertwo you N40l going well i see! congrats! Added on April 7, 2012, 12:43 pmQUOTE(WannaGetBuffed @ Apr 7 2012, 03:51 AM) So any wattage psu with 80+ will do the trick? I thought psu goes best if it's within 50% of load? Thanks wil take a look at it. the PSU rating of 80+ just means the efficiency rating. PSU efficiency @ wikipediaassuming you PC needs 100w during operation, the PSU needs to draw (100/80)*100w = 125w from the wall socket assuming the PSU is 80% efficient. if you see the table from the wikipedia page you will notice that at 50% load the efficiency is 94-96% means PSU is most efficient in that area. so you need to roughly know how much your system is going to consume to select the most efficient PSU to minimise your power bill. of course this is complicated by fact of knowing your system's consumption rate - which vary between idle and full throttle. **snipped** hey CocoMongo, since it is still not shipped yet, why not shop for some accessories (ie. 5'25' to 3'5 bay converter or some sort) from UK and get it shipped over together? I found that it is hard to find those converters/caddy over here in MY..

I remember somebody selling a lot of Lian Li stuff and might have one of those converters. Otherwise you can try to mail from UK or HK itself which is cheaper then shipping from US.

I am dealing with our supplier regarding N40L, waiting for their reply. Hard to find this model here in Malaysia. Btw in OU HP Centre? N36L? Still available? I bet somebody need to open N36L/N40L thread liao. Added on May 2, 2012, 8:26 pmJust received the update from my supplier. For N40L, price increased. Current price at RM 1500 per unit for N40L, 2GB ECC Ram, 250GB HD, DVD Rom. If anyone interested? Please do let me know, i try to low down the price but MOQ needed to high + the discount rate too low compare to MOQ. If any party interested do let me know, I will try to get more and more info regarding this model. This post has been edited by khairtech: May 2 2012, 08:26 PM

This was one reason i refused to buy from KL HP and getting from overseas... although it is taking very long I received the latest price for May 20120 which is N40L SRP RM1,438. Anything you can refer my thread here. I don't have any idea they increasing the price that high, I think the most obvious price increased due to HDD price. The minimum requirement for N40L with 250GB HDD. Nothing can do about it since most of customer absolutely will replace this small capacity HDD to larger capasity for their need.

i'd like to ask, most NAS support FAT & NTFS formatted disk? or must use proprietary format such as GPT?
