Hi fellow Xbl players out there, i'm planning to buy a xb360 elite(asian version) when ms release new chipset jasper(hopefully can reduce the probability of getting 3rod issues ). Well, it will be releasing in a matter of 1 or 2 month according to unofficial sources. If thats true, MS will release asian version/ US version/etc at the same time or just for us version 1st? Secondly, i would like to know registering SG account better or US account, whats the differences?( as i've read up in the forum, i know there's a region code n wil they lock me for dl-ing demo (only US) if im using a US account) since im using MY IP or can i use proxy to deal with it ? Most of the XBL players here register SG account ? Tat will be my questions atm, any help/opinion from u guys will be very much appreciated. Thanks in adv

Like you said, it is based on an unofficial news plus it is just a rumor. And moreover the date of release is not known so as it is whether US or Asia version of the console. Usually it will be US version first and then Asian. But when they change from the 1st gen SKU to the Falcon, if i am not wrong US and Asia changes it almost the same time.

Secondly, i would like to know registering SG account better or US account, whats the differences?

US account usually has the better benefits over SG accounts. They will get demos, game contents and other LIVE marketplace which is exclusive for the US region only. And the Microsoft points is region locked so you for an US account you will need to get a reload card from the States while if your account is SG, you can just get it locally, no hassle.

As far as i know, proxy wont enable you to download contents exclusive for the US. Just like how futile my efforts were in trying to get the Gears of War free maps.

Of course it does.
The falcon is personally thinking a good enough console.
Only a very minimum of people actually gotten the 3ROD from falcon sets.

Ah ok, 1 more question: hows the online experience for playing live on GOW or any other games with US region or other region player? issit laggy/playable ? Need comment plz.

This cannot be change unless the streamyx really want to improve.

Our gaming community is quite wide. You don't need to play with them and suffer the swearing and the laggness. Playing with us will make you fun enough and I can assure you, you won't be bored with us ( bored with same game, ya )

my experience playing XBL with ppl from US is kinda good. depends on the connection. on good days (70% of the time), there seems to be no lag on XBL. the other 30% of the time i can't even connect properly to XBL. keeps disconnecting.

previous experience with WoW too is quite good for me. i'm on US server and always in the chaotic bg but there's no lag whatsoever. quite low latency too (still "green" in color for a place thousand miles away from US).

and oh, i'm on 1mb plan.

i think it depends on places when it comes to screamyx. some places i know got fast connection (damansara, bangsar), but some places just sucked big time.
