i use mineral water from 18l bottle, cost me RM45 a month, in a year its only RM540. in five years its RM2700. Compare to whatever small commercial (which is never tru to the spec), its almost equal to the purchase cost, but u factor in maintenance, filters, these units can rake up to RM4-5k in 5 years.

Agreed. I buy RO water for drinking and don't use any filter for the normal water.
Can I have the contact to buy the mineral water as I only can find RO water?

is drinking RO water good? because it is acidic while our body got enough acid already. we should be drinking alkaline base water.

I checked out some info on the bottles using PET and the RO water being more acidic. I guess the PET bottles could cause some problem but I'm not too worried about it. I'm not worried about the pH at all.

I actually chose bottled water since I'm most worried when buying the small water treatment system that it does not work as it should. For example when you have a water treatment plant, you will analyze the treated water regularly to see if the treatment system is still working as it should. For the small water treatment system this is not done, which is what I don't like.
Secondary reason was that the cost was about the same.

Somebody did mention the other day that I also didn't know what was going on inside the factory where they prepare the RO water, so that did raise a few flags. And when I was searching for info on the above potential problems I stumbled upon the low mineral content of RO water again which is a minus.

Before I started using RO water last time I tried to find bottled mineral water but couldn't. Anyway it seems there is some services like that now, so going to change to mineral water.

this is regarding the plastic bottle.

plastic bottle code
btw, if u buy the RO water ... better get some info about the supplier bcoz some water only contains normal drinking water (filtered from tap/pipe water) not RO.

Yeah looks like have to live with either pet or pc, no choice, since don't want to use small system as explained above.

RO water actually is the best.
It contains only H2O

The top level water specialist, Mike R. Long also mentioned that R O water is the best
And R.O water get the gold seal S300 from WQA

Even all the coke, beer, medicine which need water also use RO water because it will not cause any
chemical reaction since it is purely H2O

Also, minerals you can get from others food or drinks.

I read from an article, mentioned that the calsium in 150 cups of water only equal to 100ml of milk.

So we should not get minerals using water.

You can refer to attachment for details.

I actually read a lot about this previously, the RO water sellers and mineral water sellers will have opposing articles. That's why I looked for an impartial source, in this case the WHO which published an article called "Health risks from drinking demineralised water": http://www.who.int/water_sanitation_health...mineralized.pdf

Found one more: http://www.who.int/water_sanitation_health...onsensusrep.pdf
