Hi guys, I stumbled upon this thread while looking for water filters.

currently i am using COWAY P-07IU , a table top unit

http://coway.com/product/product_view.asp?...2&mcate=&idx=59

Since buying it I only have stable flow of water for the 1st 2 months, after that it was just dripping out.

I bring this issue to the seller since the manual stated the filter can be used for 1 year. He took out the cartridge , back wash a bit and hit on the filter cartridge , and it flows nicely for a day or two.

Since then I have to hit it every day to get stable flow of water, but recently (after 4 months of purchase) , water would only drip out despite my daily cartridge smacking effort.

I am looking for a alternative table top water filter which is safe to drink out from. Recommendation plz~~

Your incoming are too dirty, fix that and replace the filter you are good to do. (I hope)

My mom old amway filter used to have this problem even using external sand filter, pressure drop after 3 months usage. We switch the external filter to membrane, and the amway filter water pressure no longer drop.

I would agree my incoming is too dirty, the water can even clog my heater and washing machine water fliter ( metal web)

Would it be helpful if I a cheap filter before my current filter ?
I am living in shared house (student ), cost are shared so not commited to expansive filters.
