Is it ? i did't manage to call them but another company call Crystal water enterprise , they have sell GE and support this product.
You wont want active carbon as outdoor filter as it will remove chlorine also (you will need chlorine in your water tank to kill bacteria and viruses). where as membrane filtration will require higher cost of maintenance and very inconvenience. thus, sand filtration without carbon will do.
As for indoor filtration, all we want is safe water for drinking. need good activated carbon that is able to remove all health hazard contaminants. If without electricity (uv light), you will actually still need to boil the water after filter (regardless of RO, alkaline or etc). UV light is to kill of bacteria and viruses. Thus it give you a very convenient solution for direct drinking after filtration.
Amway espring is a good choice if we dont want to boiler those water , can i ask if w/o electricity will it still work at least to filter the water out for us to boil it ?
I was thinking to get the GE indoor unit(poision by you all) , worse case just boil(gas/electricity) it everyday before use.
There are number of sand filter outside in selangor area , price range from rm 300 to rm 1600(waterco), i believe all serve the same purposes. (someone told me the sand need to refill after xx year as it will become smaller and smaller, and will penetrate into our filter and go into our water tank.
I think with activate carbon is still ok , as stated it only can remove 20% chlorine only..still 80% inside water tank.
Notice, that many forumers are looking for Good Water filter but at a reasonable price, introducing a new filter AQUAPHOR from Europe.
Like what NightFelix said is true, not all carbons are the same. Most good brands will give carbon block while Aquaphor is also using carbon block but a special patented one call CarbFiber Block with Aqualen (Aquaphor's patented technology) and also with silver in it. Want to know more? Just read through the links below.
Currently we are having promo and the price is definitely very attractive We do have an actual unit (Crystal Eco) installed in our shop and we have been drinking it for about 2 months direct from the tap. Do drop by our showroom to taste the difference For those who came to my shop and tasted it before, the STOCK has finally ARRIVED, good time to get it now.
Hi Zheilwane, i looking for outdoor one for sandbase as i aready got espring cover for indoor hene too advance filter might not good..(correct me if i'm wrong)
There is a saying, water too clean is no good but that is referring to RO system as it is called "Dead Water" filter off everything including the good minerals in the water.
Aquaphor Crystal Solo and Aquaphor Crystal Eco on the other hand does not filter off minerals.
The "good" carbon blocks are effective at removing dissolved impurities due to their high density, which is achieved by using smaller size carbon granules. Unfortunately, these blocks very quickly become clogged with insoluble particles present in water - the loss of function can easily reach 50%. Their use in areas where the water carries a lot of sediment is costly and inconvenient
The "not so good" blocks usually have a long service life and stand up to long-term use with water that carries a lot of mechanical impurities - the aforementioned sediment. Unfortunately, their long life is due to a tradeoff: large spaces between larger carbon granules. These blocks provide a much lower quality of filtration than the "good" kind. That is why Aquaphor came out with Aqualen to solve this problem. AQUALEN is hydrophilic - unlike carbon, it is highly absorbent and can act as a distributing agent for the flow of water. This is particularly useful given the dense structure of the carbon block, and eliminates "dead zones" in the filter that wouldn't otherwise be recruited in the filtration process.
AQUALEN allows for significantly improved mechanical filtration of sedimentary impurities. AQUALEN's fibers loosen the structure of the carbon fill, allowing mechanical filtration throughout the entire volume of the filter. You can read of as per my catalog or watch this video for better understanding
WATERCO is a good brand but some customers told me the backwash valve is hard to turn and easy to crack but some customers say they do not have this problem. You can check this with your friends or relatives using Waterco for feedback. I am selling Perfect Steel Sand Filter (Fibre body like waterco) @ RM 700 with installation within Klang Valley, never ever customers complain on the valve.
Hi Zheilwane ,
Can pm me the best price you can offer for perfect steel , i will sent you my meter+ location detail for you to qoute.
