Don't over think it... you get more VOC from crossing the street than from your drinking water.

As long as it is clean and taste right, you're okay to go.

Personally I only have the Panasonic water filter for drinking water. No filter for incoming supply.

Personally RO Water doesn't taste as good as mineralised water. I still prefer to filter and boil my water.
It depends on each individual's taste.
